I really enjoyed this book. Narrator did an excellent job in performance & making the characters realistic. Story & performance behind the story was enthralling. I definitely need to listen to the next book of series. If this was a movie, I would definitely watch it. It invoked so many emotions & reactions. A realistic type of drama.

I skipped this audible because of several one sided reviews. The mention of the KKK fit perfectly in the context of the story. Also, and a sad reality, but this crap is still very much a reality , especially in the South. I reside in CA, and have experienced rasicism. So, for the reader who gave the bad review about the author writing about them (KKK) in this particular story was relevant. The characters were written realistically and the way God moves was fitting. I would definitely recommend this listen.
