This is a wonderful, thought provoking, informative book! I learned a great deal about myself and my own thinking.

My mind is a bit wiser

Me. Epley does a fantastic job of conveying his interest in the brilliance and shortcomings of the human mind. He mixes citation with humor to lead the listener on an interesting journey that will hopefully make your mind, like mine, a bit wiser.

A book challenge your comfortable zone

A great book to refresh your perspective of the world. Hate it at the beginning, but love and will review it at the end. Really like a bitter sweet relationship.

A fantastic book to increase your insight.

I think this is one of the best books you can read about psychology.

Making a complicated subject simple is to demonstrate mastery of it. This book teaches you in 6 hours what some professors could not teach in a class and for it's short and substantial nature I view it as a masterpiece of a guide.

I Don't Know Me. I Really Don't Know You.

Nicholas Epley did a fine job combining research and personal stories and anecdotes to complement what he talked about in his book. I was able to take away some valuable learning lessons. I learned that we may not know our own minds as thorough as we think we do. And if we don't know our own minds well, how are we supposed to fully understand the minds of others?

Nicholas taught me that it is very likely people are not thinking about me as much as I may think they are. Several points in here led me to get out of my own head and assume less, and instead, ask more. Get perspective instead of guessing what someone else's perspective may be. Our sixth sense - the ability to understand the mind of another - is one of the greatest tools we have, but we may think it more accurate than it actually is.

The book definitely ended on a high note. I was able to take away several helpful notes and pointers that I will refer back to.

Fresh, entertaining and very informative

Nick Epley does a wonderful narration of his book. At times I felt I was in his class -- he cites research after research study -- you'd think it would be boring, but not the way he tells it. If you're interested in human behavior, you'll get a lot out of this. Another plus: Professor Epley's passion for this body of knowledge and his warm heart come right through his voice.

Insightful

I love that this book is more about breaking down our perceived ability to read others than giving a false sense that you can somehow get everything you need to know from facial and vocal cues.
