Excellent Book on Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness and Meditation for Anxiety was a great starting place for someone new to the idea of mindfulness and learning to practice meditation. It's no doubt that the world in which we live today is busy and stressful. Paul Rogers, the author of this book is very thorough in explaining the studies, theories, and the reasons in which we should meditate. He tells you how to best meditate and also gives you several techniques to try. Counting your breaths and anchoring yourself are just a couple of ways you can begin to meditate to release anxiety. He also explains how to do finger breathing which is something new to me. There are also several other techniques that he shares and they're all worth trying. This was very helpful and informative for me.

The narration by Christopher Johnson was exceptional. He has a soothing voice with an encouraging tone. I'm very happy with this audiobook.

A Good Introduction to Mindfulness

I received a free review copy of this audiobook.

This book explains the benefits of mindfulness in general, as well as brief explanations of a number of kinds of meditation & mindfulness. Some were new to me and some were familiar. The explanations are helpful and clear.

I would recommend this book to someone on the fence about whether or not to start a meditation practice.
