Good for learning and memory
When I try to note information using mind maps, I understand it better and remember it longer. It does take more work to note information with mind maps but it is worth the effort.

Great for research
My job requires research and lots of it and it takes time to put together the information and lots of it, I can see mind maps organizing my efforts better and in a shorter time.

The samples made it worth it
Having done quite a bit of mind maps already was looking to expand my repertoire didn't care so much for the verbal lessons but the pictures helped "expand" my mind if you will to different ways of experimenting.

My experience with mind mapping was difficult at first, but after putting in the work and hours, wouldn't go back to the old way of writing and note taking
