Resumen del Editor

Thirty practical and applicable guidelines to think smarter, faster, and with expert insight (even if you aren’t one).

Mental models are like giving a treasure map to someone lost in the woods. They provide instant understanding, context, and most importantly, a path to the end destination. Now imagine having such a map for all problems and decisions in your life.

Battle information overwhelm, focus on what really matters, and make complex decisions with speed and confidence.

Mental Models: 30 Thinking Tools sheds light on true intelligence: It’s not about knowledge and knowing the capitals of all the countries in the world. It’s about how you think, and each mental model is a specific framework on how to think smart and with insight. You can approach the world by trying to analyze each piece of information separately, or you can learn mental models that do the work for you.

Very useful mental models for entrepreneurs

This book was a pleasant surprise. I've listened to many books on entrepreneurship and ways to improve your mindset but most of the new ones are a bit more marketing than actual resourceful, this one on the other hand is quite useful and full of models that I can actually use and improve my way of thinking. The narrator's voice is pleasant and manages to captivate you. I believe that in order to remember all the models and be able to actually apply them you'll need to listen the book at least twice or also get the ebook/hard cover to be able to adnotate and bookmark ideas that you want to implement in the near future.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Where do I get the pdf?

I don’t see a pdf download in my library. I’m hoping that the pdf has a summary of the models...

Frustrating trying to get/find the pdf file.

Useful material

I was provided this book as an arc. And, it had some useful information but was very dry. At times repetitive. I’m sure listeners could find some useful information here though.

A toolkit everyone can benefit from.

Who takes the time to learn how to think? Not many, but everyone should. This book is a quick, well-written treatise on thinking and decision-making. Each method is defined in enough detail to either give you the steps necessary to employ the method or pique your interest to find out more about it. There were several topics that I bookmarked and shared with my coworkers.

A good overview of mental models

While we have heard of most of these models, bearing about them in the framework of how to think and achieve exceptional results was useful. A good review even for experienced mgrs/leaders.
