Great for health professional hopeful

Any additional comments?

This is a must have for anyone trying to get into med/DO/dent/pharm. Many health professional schools are forgoing lectures and going towards "problem-based learning" as the basis for teaching their curriculum; much the same way as this audiobook. Differential diagnosis is the main theme here. It gives you insight into how a skill physician interprets sign, symptom, lab values, radiographs etc. in order to come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. I hope Dr. Benaroch does more of these grand rounds

The way material was presented in clearly explained case studies made it easily understandable and informative. The reader learns a great deal.

Would you consider the audio edition of Medical School for Everyone to be better than the print version?

I never write a review for a book before but I have to give 5 stars to Professor Roy. He is amazing. The content is extremely well put together. you will get to practice a lot of clinical thinking. This is a MUST have for me.

the case of chronic hives

well thought out

I learned a lot of the things I wanted to learn. I didn't get a chance to challenge myself or find sources, but that's what good textbooks are for. this is no textbook. it's invigorating and intelligent. I can ask little more from an audiobook.

What did you love best about Medical School for Everyone?

I liked the way the narrator took actual patients and asks questions for evaluation of diagnosis. The narrator show the different perspectives the Physicians can look at, factors in making a decent diagnosis, patient leads and how much a patient may actually listen to a Physician.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the way the narrator told the whole story of the patients history and hereditary influences of the patient. I liked the way the author used a checklist and testing to make a diagnosis.

What about Professor Roy Benaroch’s performance did you like?

I liked the sound of his voice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"Through a Doctor Eyes"

Sadly to say a lot of Doctors nowadays don't keep their " eyes wide open" and just want to get the patient in and out. It would be nice for narrator to talk more about natural means of healing instead of dealing out pharmaceuticals. Also, the author makes one think maladies patients suffer from seem rather so easy to solve which just is not so.....Some people suffer their entire life with ill health on no account of their own. They don't talk about that.

Wrong defibrillator usage 11hours 2mins

Great course along with the emergency medicine one by the same doctor. But at 11:02:00 the narrator implies that cardiac arrest/heart failure warrants a manual defibrillation. This isn't a one-time mistake, since he shocks two more times as the patient's heart stops. Defib is indicated during arrhythmias like ventricular fibrillation or "V-Fib" ... the electric current absolutely does NOT restart the heart, but only resets the fibrillations. Still a great listen, minus a silly reference to marijuana that implies it is harmful in any way at all :P

Amazing course

Highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about health and medicine in general.

Love this. Wish there were more volumes.

Loved it. Would read many more of these! Just the right amount of attention given to each subject for an amateur like me.
