Karna was just like any other comic book fan. He dreamed of fighting alongside colourful heroes and taking down dastardly villains.

In Titan Online, the most popular VR MMORPG going, he finally got the chance to live out his cape-donning fantasies.

That is, right up until he was killed by the game’s number one ‘hero’. A man who serves only himself in a constant grind for money, fame and adoration. Forced to start from scratch due the harsh game mechanics, Karna finds a new mission: bringing balance back to Titan Online.

With a strange new power and some unlikely allies, Karna hatches a plan to save the game and get a bit of revenge in the process.

When the heroes can’t be trusted, it’s up to the villains to save the (virtual) world.

Pretty good for a Lit RPG Just felt a little rushed. I didn't like that such a low lv char was able to complete so much

Not a bad book

So this guy is upset that his character was permanently killed in a video game, and now he's out for revenge. There's a whole veneer of heroes vs. villains and corruption within the game systems too, but ultimately I just didn't care that much about this revenge motivation.

Plus, it's bad game design. Creating permanent character death in PVP or any other harsh or punishing results just isn't fun. Even people who think they want that abandoned the few games that tried it and even they severely limited it. So I am struggling to believe the setting is real and the protagonist's motivations seem petty and silly.

Still, the writing craft was good and I would try another series by this author.

Hard to Care

A really good story. I truly enjoyed listening to this book. And I would recommend it to everyone else.

Good book

It’s not often I listen to a book that is exceptionally well written, well narrated has a story/plot line that goes beyond typical leveling and stack tables. This is one. A gem among the rough. Much looking forward to the the next in the series.

Seriously awesome

When the goal of a villain is to do good for all, are they still a villain?

when the bad guys do good

Se ha producido un error. Vuelve a intentarlo dentro de unos minutos.
