Tower Story, Band Reunites, Progress Lags

This installment had some progression in the tower itself, but disappointingly, the main character didn’t show much personal growth. I like to see clear advancement for the protagonist in each book, and this fell short.

The story felt more like bookkeeping than an engaging progression. The band reunited, some new enemies appeared, but overall it was just… okay. Not terrible, but not memorable either.

sadly it was so obvious silith was a plant after the ring. was hoping thorn would take action using zion. oh well zion tried almost destroying himself ? haha.. looking forward to next book.

Another Good Listen.

The story of Thorn and the ascendants from earth continues to grow. I enjoyed the progression of character traits and abilities. I particularly enjoyed the crafting and ruin area. Thorn's physical abilities while fun to read don't cleanly align during some of the fight scenes. Overall this is a good listen. I am interested to listen to the next book. I hope that the author doesn't stay too far from the main storyline with a new nemesis. The Tower progression is enough for several more books.
