Imagine a single dad with a tragic history and in denial about his fears. Well that’s the hero in this story. Will he admit his fears and weaknesses or lose the love of his life?

A sweet and steamy listen

Make Me Yours is a super sweet story about taking a chance after loss and that first crush. It was humorous (as only real life sometimes can be), sweet, and steamy. Cheyenne has always had a crush on Cole, her brother’s best friend. He married and lost his wife young and was left behind with a child to raise. Both are back living with their parents and one again are next door to each other. Cole’s daughter loves Cheyenne and the chemistry between them can’t be denied.

This was a sweet story that had a little slow spot in the middle, but overall was a great listen and read. I really liked that it wasn’t instalove between the two characters and more of a slow burn with a TON of flirting. When they finally got together, it was steamy! I appreciated that in this story, it was the guy who was afraid and had hangups. So many stories focus on the woman but men have fears too. I also appreciated that he ran when he gave into fear instead of being mean to push her away like in many romance novels. The real reactions and feelings of the characters made this story go from good to great for me. Plus the narration by Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt was just how the story needed to be done.

Love this series!

Love This Single Dad Romance!

If single dad, brother's best friend romance is your thing, Make Me Yours is for you. Cole is raising his young daughter on his own since his wife died during childbirth. Living with his mother so she can help with Mariah, Cole is fulfilled by his job as a cop, has great friends, but he's lonely. Even so, his emotional scars run deep and he's not willing to put himself out there again. Cheyenne is an elementary school teacher who finds herself living back at home with her mother, next door to her lifelong crush - Cole, who happens to be her older brother's best friend. Her love for Cole has been unrequited for years but one night she accidentally hits send on a text to him that describes all the things she'd like to do with him... in detail. And that certainly gets Cole's attention.

I loved how Cole and Cheyenne just clicked and there was such an ease to their relationship. My heart hurt for Cheyenne when Cole would pull away or insist that they had to keep things casual, even though his feelings were anything but. I wanted to shake him sometimes for pushing Cheyenne away, but at the same time I understand why he was so gun shy. Cheyenne was patient and giving, and tended to wear her heart on her sleeve, making her so relatable. One of my favorite aspects was Cheyenne's relationship with Mariah... so sweet! I loved that there was no unnecessary drama, just a story of two people finding their way.

I never want a Melanie Harlow story to end

Melanie Harlow has a way of putting a new spin on a tride and true theme - “friends to lovers”. In fact, in all of Melanie’s books, I never want the story to end. She has a such a wonderful way of developing her characters and giving them depth without the need to comment on her opinions of each character.

Trust your heart.

The narrators were great. I liked their voices and they did a good job bringing the story to life. I would definitely listen to them again. I recommend listening to this audiobook.

Cole and Cheyenne lived next door to each other for a long time. They were friends but Cole was one of Griffin's best friends. Griffin and Cheyenne had a good relationship as siblings. Some of their interactions had me laughting. Cole seemed to feel like he should be alone. Mariah was enjoyable and added an interesting dynamic. She sometimes seemed older than she was and at other times younger than she was. Cole had basically dedicated his life to Mariah and he wouldn't chance upsetting her. Once he decided that he wanted to be with Cheyenne, Cole was more aggressive with regards to their relationship. Cheyenne knew and had known for years that she wanted to be with Cole. Many of the characters were frustrating at times. I liked that Cole and Cheyenne admitted their feelings for each other. I liked how the story ended. I recommend reading this book.

Hot single dad!

Nothing sexier than a single dad, especially in uniform! Cole and Cheyanne have been friends for years since Cole is her brother’s best friend and they grew up next door to each other. Cole never admitted having finally noticed Cheyanne for more than this before an accidental sexting message that brought both of their feelings to the surface. Cheyanne has always had a crush on coke but he was married until she died giving birth. Cole has been surviving for years with the help of his mother in raising his daughter, never opening his eyes to true love till one day his eyes opened in a new way. The path to love is not easy for these two even once they finally admit their feelings but in the end it was worth the wait!
