Holy cow, I could not put this down once I started! Kingdom Fall took place in a different city, but it was the same crazy Society world that we got from A. Zavarelli's previous Society Trilogy. Alessio was cold and closed off, but it was hard to truly hate someone whose entire life revolved around loyalty and not being like his father. I loved watching his struggle to be affectionate with Nino and to try and fight his attraction to Natalia. The attraction and intensity between Natalia and Alessio was off the charts, so it was a given that they couldn’t fight it forever! I started guessing about Natalia’s past from the very beginning and while some thing were easy to guess, I could not wrap my mind around everything that she suffered and went through. She came off as meek in the beginning but we slowly got to see the real her with how she stood her ground with Alessio when it came to Nino, not to mention her survivor instincts. A. Zavarelli mastered the ability to mix drama, nail biting tension, major steam with some romance sprinkled in, and twists and turns that had the ability to shock me until the end!
I read this book when it first came out but the audiobook makes the story even better! Stefanie Kay did an amazing job adding the emotion and struggle that Natalia was going through, and I loved Gideon's sexy but deadly cold voice!

Great story with excellent narrators!

This story is not Mafia, it’s Society… what’s the difference you ask?? Hmmmm…. You’ll have to read/listen to find out!

The couple in this book, Alessio and Natalia, are fire from almost moment one. Although he tries to be cold and distant. She come in as a nanny for Nino, the boy who lives with Alessio… but there’s something else on her mind.

This book is gritty and full of angst… it twists and turns and twists again. It is a great listen and read! The narrators Stefanie Kay an Gideon Frost did an exceptional job with these characters!!!

Loved this story

I loved reading this book when it came out, and I love it even more now that I’ve listened to it. The narrators did a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life, and the story feels even more ingrained in me than it was before.

Beyond excellent!

I have listened to every audiobook that audible has available from author A. Zavarelli. She is incredibly talented and after every one of her stories the one word that comes out of my mouth is “wow”! I’m usually so stunned that nothing else can come out. Lol .. This one is phenomenal! Definitely credit worthy! It was a roller coaster ride the whole way with a much needed happy ending for both characters. Bring out the next please!

Amazing

Holy mackerel this book was amazing and so yummy. Who doesn't love a dangerous, powerful, filthy rich man? I freaking love, love, loved Alessio. Putting everything aside I knew once I started this book there was no way I was going to stop until I finished. Awesome narration by Stephanie Kay and Gideon Frost!

This book is part of the Underworld Kings series but can be read as a complete standalone. This series is new to me and this story captivated me so much so that I can't wait to go back and devour the rest of the series. I really enjoyed Natalia and Alessio's story. Natalia was a strong FMC that has been through the ringer and then some. I love the way she stands up to Alessio. She's the light to his darkness and they couldn't be more perfect for eachother 🖤 The voices really bring this story to life!

Alessio hotness

I always say this. Listening to these stories is just so much better. You feel the emotions behind these characters and boy to Alessio and Natalia have this in spades.

I absolutely loved this story and the heartache I felt for poor Natalia and what she endured just broke me. She’s a survivor and Alessio, wowza , he can be my knight anyway. Watching him transform from monster to hero was the icing on the cake.

Besides taking me on a dark twisted ride, this book managed to shock the heck out of me. I so did not see things playing out the way I thought they would.The characters kept things interesting and definitely intrigued me to want to know more.
This story is hot, gripping and unpredictable.

I read this when it came out and I have to say the audiobook was even better! I hope this author uses both of these narrators for all her books. Gideon Frost needs to be added to her other book Hate Crush, his voice is so dreamy.

As for the story it’s labeled dark but for me it wasn’t really dark. Not a complaint at all! There are some detailed violence scenes so be prepared. The heroine Natalia is keeping a lot of secrets right from the start. She has been through a lot and once you discover what she’s hiding her motives for everything become clear. Alessio comes across as cold and unfeeling but boy does that man have many layers! I absolutely loved him! Nino was so adorable and both narrators did a great job voicing his character.
