Spicy Vampire Romance

This was a fun distraction with a tease of Why Choose due the the situation with the main male character. Voshki is my favorite of the pairing, very direct, knows what he wants and will burn the world down for it. Faye and Rune, go back and forth a lot on what they want. A bit of repetition. This is heavy on the romance and the spice, there's a tease of worldbuilding and magic systems.
Things I really enjoyed: Sparrow and her man. (I didn't love the nicknames the sisters constantly called each other). Often times the main FMC looses her friends/life before and I thought it was well done how they remained staples through each section of the story. Hades/Persephone retelling vibes.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were fantastic.

This audiobook has to be hands down my favorite. I loved the dual narration and the way the narrators pull you in. Ughhhh amazing 10/10!

The story was very hades and persephone for sure with a dark twist.. decent story line and character development but the narrators were soooo good..

The narrators fit this story perfectly. They took a story I already loved to another level.

Slow burn

A dark fantasy romance that takes slow burn seriously. This book dances around the relationship of the MMC and FMC while the side story is trying to figure out where the FMC belongs in this world. She is tied to a vampire prince with a split personality who is the devil on his shoulder and difficult to keep tame. Although his monstrous side is 100% devoted to her and gives her the attention she has always craved.

Abso-flogging-lutely amazing

The femdom was perfect. Watching her come into her Dommeliness was a moderate burn, but so worth it. I loved that it explained the crystals (the physical copy has a breakdown in the beginning). I just wish there was a breakdown for the races, extinct or not. 10/10!

Wonderful read

The only reason I gave a 4 star is I didn’t and couldn’t deal with the thought of the words bitch and hooker so much it was a lot over and over again but other than that l enjoyed the book and read it in two days

Beautiful story and fantastic narration!

Loved the voices of each character, made the story all the more compelling while listening to it during driving times and sitting in bookstores. The story flows easily and keeps your attention while keeping you on the edge and making you guess what might happen next. The romance, the suspense and the differences between the main characters/side characters are told beautifully and build a world of complex, deeply seated relationships that make you care for the characters and wonder how those relationships might change or effect the story <3 Runes voice was a little surprising to me at first, but it was incredibly fitting for his character and is really nice to listen to throughout the book. This was my very first audio book I've ever listened to, and it was an incredible treat to start out on, Kalista Neith is an incredible author and her books are a joy to read/listen to! I'm definitely listening to it again later on <3
