Listen the first two chapters and then lose weight! If you reach a plateau in losing, increase your activity and examine how much you are really consuming on fast days, and also whether you are unnecessarily overeating on other days.

Good explanation

The book provides a good explanation of the diet. I liked the scientific background and the way both authors came to the conclusion that this diet could work. My husband and I have been on the diet for a weeks now and it is easy to follow. I'm excited to see how our numbers have changed. My husband who needed desperately to diet, was never willing to try anything until he listen this book. I recommend it to anyone who needs to lose weight and/or improve their numbers.

I love this book

I love this book. I've been using the diet eating plan for a week, and it is everything I expected--effective and easy to follow. I highly recommend it for anyone needing to lose 5-10 pounds.

It works!!

I have lost 25-30 lbs with this diet. It so works and one I feel I can live with for the rest of my life. Recommended to my by my Primary Care Physician. Love him for telling me about it... He's on it, too!

Liked the book and the ideas

Liked the book and the ideas. I was able to stick with it for 4 weeks and then could no longer rally around the two days at 500 calories each day. I think it will work.

Started this Fast Diet 3 weeks ago gets easier

Started this Diet 3 weeks ago gets easier the longer I do it. Lost 3.5 lbs the first week, lost 1.5 lbs the 2nd week. All this is accompanied with my normal exercise program. Yoga 2-3 times a week, the gym 2-3 times a week. Walking 1-2 times a week.

Works GREAT

Works GREAT! I'm over 45 years old and 50+ pounds overweight. I struggled with weight loss, even after modifying my workout type and routine, I wasn't getting good results. I added the Fast Diet to my life and have lost over 30 pounds in 4 months and am still losing weight.

I've been following this diet for 7 weeks and so far I've lost 9 lbs!! The book is full of helpful info.I'm pleased and will continue, wish I'd known about this decades ago!!!

Not really enough information to start a plan

This book seems to give you background on the practice.. and a brief description of a few types of fasting with no real “how to” for any of them.
