You Had Me at ABBY CRADEN!

I love audiobooks. I love Gerri Hill's audiobooks. I, of course, loved this new Gerri Hill audiobook and it's just sweeter having the best narrator to tell us the story. Once there was an amazing book titled, "Hunter's Way". In this book, Hunter and Sam are back to investigate a murder mystery of a dead priest. you don't need to know anything about the first Hunter book to listen and instantly love this book. Even though I said how great this audiobook was, my favorite Gerri Hill books on audible are " the Secret Pond", "seventeen", and... "Hunter's Way" for anyone looking for a great suggestion.

The ending was disappointing

I liked the characters and thought the mystery was quite gripping, everything was good entil the ending. I felt it was very unsatisfactory.

The "mystery" was never fully solved, there's no evidence why the given solution is actually the truth. why should we believe what one character said? because the main character thinks it is true? it also leaves a lot of loose ends still untied.
What erk me the most was one of the main mysteries - who the priest had consensual sex with right before his death - was never resolved. yes he had a lover, but that lover left a few days before his death?
Please write a sequel to this and completely 180 the story. I would love to read that.

Love Gerri Hill and Abby Craden paired!

I've read this series quite a few times but it was nice to listen and gain the experience that way. The audio book did not disappoint and I look forward to them producing the rest!!

loved this. just wish it was longer. again abby craden kills the narration and gerri hill introduces more interesting characters who have great dynamics.

Another good Gerri Hill story

I liked the sequel. In someways it’s better than the first, mainly in that it did not have any *triggering* assaults detailed. But I also really loved the new character O’Conner, she’s adorable and adds a lot, I really enjoyed her POV. However this one doesn’t have all that much Hunter/Kennedy which bummed me out. It definitely feels more like Hunters story continuation with Kennedy as more of a side character. Which did serve the story but I was just expecting a bit more of them. Still a solid read. The big mystery does wrap up, there’s one thing that happens near the end that isn’t “solved” but it’s pretty obvious what happened. As always Abby Craden is a goddess. Worth the listen.

I had already read the book. But that did not detract from the quality and suspense of the audio. Abby Craden does her usual wonderful job with the narration.

Never disappointed when it comes to Gerri Hill and Abby Craden. This story has so many different angles and surprises. I love it!

The best book ever!

One of the the earlier Hill books I read way back in my younger days, I fell head over heels in love with Sam and Hunter in the first book Hunter's Way, I was so glad to see Tori and Sam emotionally growning iin the this book along with the adding of a new friend for Tori; Casey. The deep detective story helps the book also.

I loved Hunter and Sam but I laughed a lot with Hunter and Casey !! Casey is good for the future Hunter books!!😅

Love Gerri Hill’s books!

I have many copies of Gerri Hill’s books. I especially love the ones narrated by Abby Craden. She does a wonderful job of bringing life to the characters.
