Sara Michaels is the daughter of a prominent senator who has just announced his candidacy for President of the United States - the same senator who has been receiving death threats against his family.

Sara Michaels is also the owner of a self-help clinic and is hell-bent - despite the FBI's warnings - on leading a group of 10 women on a two-week sojourn through the Rocky Mountains.

In an effort to protect Sara, the FBI recruits homicide detective Jaime Hutchinson to infiltrate the group and secretly provide the protection they are so certain Sara will need. After some clever maneuvering, Jaime finds herself welcomed by the 10 conservative women - who soon begin playing matchmaker with Sara and Jaime.

But then Jaime is reminded of the reason that she has joined this group of women when she's forced to lead them out of the mountains and away from a sniper's bullets. Will Sara finally figure out who is behind the death threats? And will Jaime realize the truth - and be able to save Sara before it's too late?

My favorite one to date.

I think this might be my favorite G Hill book. So many fun characters and as always the amazing Abby Craden narrating.

Fantastic from chapter 1, all the way to the end!

Gerry HillsHill books are always very captivating and she draws you into the story. Abby Creighton narrating was phenomenal once again and I would highly recommend this book.

Another wonderful Gerri Hill gem! The storyline kept me engaged. I wish this was a series that tied the characters into more of her books. Jamie is now added to my growing list of favorite characters.

Amazing

I love this book so much. I feel in love with the 2 main characters, and their story. I really wish this was a series. Abby Craden's voice is like pure honey and she takes on the different characters so seemlessly.

I Loved the book!!

This has to be one of my favorite Gerri Hill books and it was wonderfully narrated by Abby Craden! The overall story drew me in just as much as the slow burn romance between Jamie and Sarah! It was heartwarming, dramatic, nail biting at times and the love forming between them made me tingle! Highly recommended!!!

My fave Gerri Hill so far

Having just discovered Ms. Hill, I've been running through many of her books in the last few weeks. This one made me laugh a lot and feel a sense of fun. For that I'd give it six stars if I could. Dunno how Abby Craden became the voice of lesbian fiction, but she has good character range and reads quite well. Beginning to feel like she's a member of the family. Might have to invite her to Thanksgiving next. As is usual for light crime stories like this, there are plot holes that you can drive at least a Yugo through, but none that interfere too much with my enjoyment of the story. By the end, I was quite invested in both the relationship and the outcome of the action. I felt there was room to get to know the side characters a bit better. Especially since the book is a bit short. Of the ten women, six were just names and felt like props more than characters.

Lots of twists and turns

This is another Gerri Hill story that works…with a suspenseful plot, characters that you can relate to, a strong female lead, and a slow burn romance that is hot, thanks in no small part to talented narrator Abby Craden!
