Such an enjoyable listen!!

This is book two of this series and I really enjoyed it! That being said, it is a complete standalone—there is not a TON of crossover from book one so you do not have to read them in order!

I loved following Juliet’s journey as she met the Cooper pack! Everett finds her after her plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness and brings her back to the home he shares with Huck and Dean, the other two alphas in his pack. I absolutely loved how different the guys all were!! Juliet is no meek heroine either; she knows what she wants and she’s going to get it!

There was a lot to the plot in this one but it was so needed, and the spice was intermingled really well! For this being only book two of EJ’s dive into omegaverse I thought it was really well done, and there was no lack of detail to keep you invested in the story or Juliet and her alphas! The narrators were absolutely phenomenal, and there were no difficulties with following along or keeping characters separate!!

Fun premise, solid listen

Solid omegaverse read- entertaining, has all the omegaverse must haves (heats, knotting, scenting, pack dynamics). Most of all I liked the premise- omega promised to a rich and powerful packs ends up stranded in the Alaska wilderness is rescued by a pack of wilderness men. One's a gummy bear/cinnamon role, ones a sexy nerdy daddy vibe, and one is a gruff mercurial grumpy mountain men. They nurse her back to health and OF COURSE her heat suppressants were lost in the crash. Falling happens, knotting happens, but her rich fiance pack is hunting her down and turns out they have a sordid history with the wilderness pack. Lots of drama ensues.

This started out really strong- I loved the heroine's character voice, loved our mountain men, and all the forced proximity. Great chemistry and romancing. The ending didn't quite deliver for me though- I still have lots of questions about her promised pack (their motives, what they were up to, how things ended up), and our grumpy alpha needed to do a little more groveling. The spice was also pretty mild for an omegaverse, but still delicious.

The audio was well done - I liked both narrators and this was an enjoyable listen overall.

One of my favorite tropes is an omegaverse trope. And just like the last E. J. Lawson omegaverse book I’m literally stuck craving more and kinda wishing I was in the trope myself😅😅😅each spicy scene was directed to please and care for Juliet and her Alphas didn’t disappoint. This book was amazing and written in very great details from the crash to the bounding. I can’t wait for the next book in the series🤩💜🤩💜🤩💜🤩

I'm having a hard time finishing the audiobook.

The storyline started off strong then for me it just got boring and the narration just didn't help to keep me interested.
