The overall story

Over all loved the story and performance. I would say it was a little fast paced and a little more sex season than I’m use to, but none the less still loved it! I can’t wait to see what book two holds in store.

Watch out for the woods

This is a fun retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Going to grandmother’s house takes on a whole new meaning.

Perfect choice or narrators!

I love Tor Thom and Kirt Graves in everything I’ve heard them do but this was perfect for each of their voices. The post apocalyptic storyline is really interesting and I’m hoping there’s more details as the series continues.

Entertaining, but…

It’s an interesting story with clever ideas and fun characters and magic, however it’s very rushed. The rate the MCs go from strangers who have issues to being in love and mated…needs a little more guts to the story besides getting to the HEA. Kirt Graves is awesome as usual. 💜

"Big Bad Wolf" X His little witch!

Having read and loved the written story very much, I was beyond happy to see this was out on audio! Both Thom and Graves did beyond amazing with brining both Ryder and Wotan to life! Especially with how deep, growly, commanding, and sexy Graves voice was for Wotan! Highly, highly recommend checking this audiobook out! Worth the purchase! I know I look forward to the next books on audio as well! Amazing job good sirs!

I liked the rendition of riding hood, it was a lot of fun, and well narrated. I recommend.

Dark- and marshmallow- MM romance

“The master of the wild hunt … is … cuddling!”
This is the only kind of Dark Romance that I like: where Wotan, the magical crime lord only kills bad guys and, although broody and dommy in the beginning, he’s revealed to be a monster marshmallow by the end. Add grumpy sunshine to the mix and this was a smutilicious listen. Did I have to put my rose colored glasses on to get past the early dubious scenes of consent? Sure. And was the tone shift from Grimm to Gaga a bit clunky? You bet your Monster Ball. 😜 But, this was entertaining and sexy and romantic, with some fun monster variety to boot.

This was a great series with unique monsters, plots, and four realms of earth, air, water, and fire, each of which has its own magical crime syndicate. There’s a small series arc featuring a pixie who gets his own HEA in book 5. The MM monster sex was sometimes too kinky, fluid-y, and tentacle-y for my tastes, but it wasn’t anything that fast forwarding couldn’t fix. I give this series an A for creative effort and originality.
