WRONG TITLE

The title of this book is very misleading. You only spoke a few minutes about business and finance. Overall the book was pretty good if I was looking for a book on positivity and affirmations. I was looking for a business book this is not that. Every chapter I waited for you to start talking about something based on the title and that did not happen until chapter 7.

Good tips, easy listen, but misleading title

I did enjoy this book, and I suggest it. It's well read, a quick easy listen, and there are some good nuggets throughout. The title is misleading though, because it isn't a book about how to actually build a 6 figure business or anything about running your business, like it implies. Instead, it's about how to live a happy, balanced life. I would have bought that too, I just thought it was going to be about motivation and tips on how to reach a higher income level, but it wasn't. I will re-listen again, as I do like her message.

Empowering and Clear

I have to say that I didn't even stray away one single time while listening to this book. I absolutely connected with the words, experiences and content shared. This is a very empowering read and allows a person like myself the opportunity to look into another individual's worldly experiences through a positive minded microscope.
I am very satisfied with the knowledge received.

Title is a little misleading.

It has good Information about self improvement, but not so much on how to make six figures. Only one chapter was dedicated to finance. The other six are focused on self development. Long story short: get help, find a mentor and learn how to sell.

Buyer beware!

This book does not talk about the topic in the title. It’s a general self help book, talking about exercise and everything else.

Join an MLM - not the advice for me

Author talks about how to make 6 figures working part time by joining a multi level marketing company. It seems to have worked for her, and that’s fine, but I don’t think what she’s pushing is something most people can or should get themselves into. Hopefully my review will save someone else the couple hours of listening.

Only one chapter on actually making income(sales)

I thought I would listen to a short book while working on my mower, so picked this one. I wanted to "make 6 figures working part time," so I gave it a listen.

The title is a head-fake. This book is 8/9 on being positive and building your personal life, then 1/9 on how to make sales (one chapter near end). The problem is that the title and the book summary addresses FINANCIAL success, so the publisher (?) was very misleading.

There is little about earning the 100k+/year that was asserted from the title. A former/current sales person wrote the book. Starts with appealing to the Gen X folks and excuses them for not having the same drive to succeed as their parents.

Here followimg are some of the sections noted in the book by the author, with this reader's attempt at summation:

0 Spiritual: be thinking, "I am acceptable and attractive," and love love love.
1. Health: no drugs, exercise. Be Vegan.
2. Emotional: get a dog.
3. Romance: have sex with only interesting persons.
5. Mental: remember what you are doing. Use internet tools.
6. Social: It's not what you know and what you can do, but who you know. "Act as though all your customers are your friends because they are." A quote, not kidding.
7. Financial: the only chapter to listen to, and only if you want to BE A SALES PERSON, and particularly NETWORK MARKETING. If you sell via commission, you have little overhead and a lot of income when successful. Dress for Success was interesting. The author's vision of her "authentic self" is to be professionally dressed by paying someone else to buy her clothes. Another concept: Mimic what everyone around you does, to fit in, to make sales.

I suppose this author's advice is good for making one's living through sales. This reader finds that advice indicative of many the problems we see in today's obsessions with social media. Confirm and use conformity to take advantage of social connections.

On the other hand...this approach to life must work for the author. But not everyone can be in sales, else there would nothing *created* to sell.

Waste of time

For someone who graduated from Princeton, you would expect that the title of the book in some way connects to the content. But no. That is wishful thinking. This “author” just regurgitated modern commonly accepted principles of success in a less than clear and certainly unentertaining fashion. Don’t waste your time. Not sure why Audible would even offer this as part of its subscription plan. Don’t they vet these things? Where are the standards?
