Resumen del Editor

Are you hungry to help others through leadership but don't feel like you have the authority?

One of the greatest myths of leadership is that you must be in charge in order to lead. Great leaders don't buy it. Great leaders - whether they have the official authority or not - learn how to be an influential presence wherever they are.

In How to Lead When You're Not in Charge, author and pastor Clay Scroggins explains the nature of leadership and what's needed to be a great leader - even when you answer to someone else.

Drawing from biblical principles and his experience as the lead pastor of Buckhead Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Clay will help you nurture your vision and cultivate influence with integrity and confidence, even when you lack authority in your organization or ministry.

In this audiobook, Clay will walk you through the challenge of leadership and the four basic behaviors all great leaders have and how to cultivate them:

  • Leading yourself
  • Choosing positivity
  • Thinking critically
  • Rejecting passivity

With practical wisdom and humor, Clay Scroggins will help you free yourself to become the great leader you want to be so you can make a difference. Even when you're not in charge.

Great book

Not your typical leadership book and that's what I loved about it. Clay gives us examples of how to lead everyday regardless of title.

Just what I needed to hear

It describes perfectly what I'm currently living at work so I was instantly attracted to this title.

Clay has a funny, positive, and natural way to express the ideas he proposes. I would definitely see to buy the book, but the audible edition is just amazing. It's easy to notice that he poured his heart out for everyone willing to listen. Thanks!

Too religious for my liking

In should have known it is a religious book but overlooked it somehow. If I look through the religious stuff, there is still plenty of good advise in this book.

Great leadership guidance

I liked that the author read the book. It added to the experience. Any person, especially any young person, who think they might like to be in leadership someday should read this.

Solid Advice, with Fresh Sound

The author is creative and shared practical insights into leadership. I was wary of his voice at the start, then it came alive as the author himself expressed his thoughts as only the author could!

Must read for 30 year old’s

Found this so helpful as someone in my mid-30’s. It gives solid context along with very tangible action steps for anyone wanting to develop whether you are in the church or corporate world. It makes me feel more confident that I can be incredibly effective in my current corporate role. Thanks for writing it Clay!

No more excuses...

Wow!!! We will not make excuses again, nor will we want to after reading this book!! We can lead with a grateful attitude, even if those who are in authority never change, we can change those things for the better right where are!!! This is a MUST for every person no matter if in the marketplace, the church, family, marriage - relationships in general!!! This kind of living points others back to the Father GOD!

A must read for everyone

This should be required reading for everyone. It is not only challenging but freeing as well. It provides good encouragement and a solid action plan to move through each idea set forth. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover and, quite honestly, it couldn’t have been more timely.

My favorite leadership book by far

I run my own company and serve as a singer in church, which places me in a unique position where I’m both a leader as well a follower - both in an outside ministry.

This book has resonated with me in a way that no leadership book has before. Most leadership books give me the vibe that the author has his/her life completely together, and I’ve always desired to hear from someone who readily admits how human he is and how emotionally challenging leadership can be. I’ve frequently experienced the same issues and asked the same questions brought up in this book... andI really appreciate how straightforward the author is in admitting his shortcomings, potentially controversial thoughts, and how he’s learnt to overcome them when working with other people. And despite him being a pastor, he often quotes secular books which gives his thoughts a very nice balance.

“How to lead when you’re not in charge” is simple yet profound. The people who call it basic might not realize how nuanced the situations presented here are. This book shares the timeless foundations of leadership in the freshest and most easy to grasp of ways. The presenter is also extremely relatable and entertaining as well!

I’ve been recommending this book and sending it to friends, and they’ve been enjoying it thoroughly! It’s already helping us in our lives... I’m looking forward to many more listens. Thank you Clay!
