In the modern world today, becoming a feminist is not as challenging as it was a few decades ago. For a very long time, women were seen merely as an object, a punching bag that men could vent to and take out their frustrations on. For a very long time, women were neglected. Their needs were neglected, and they belonged to a rather lower part of society. Young girls would be buried alive in some Arab countries, just because of their gender. The treatment of women around the world was totally inhumane, yet, women would still live with it because they were being taught that their happiness depended on the fact that they remained quiet, no matter what was thrown their way. This went on for a long period of time - decades. Not until some true icons who represented feminism came to the forefront of the world.

Let us talk about some of the best examples of feminism. The first one is Lady Diana, princess of Wales, England. She was a true icon, and her life was an example to many people around the world - mostly women. Diana married into the royal family without knowing what was coming ahead of her. She faced all the challenges alone. She didn’t have any support of her husband or her in-laws. They were all tied up within the democratic walls of the palace. But Diana was something different....
