Would you listen to Magnificent Bastard again? Why?

Yes. I love the way Lili Valente writes her characters and their lives, I've re-read and re-listened to several of her books.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Penny. She is the quirky girl that everyone loves and you can't help but fall for her as she falls for Bash.

What does Tyler Donne and Summer Roberts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The tone and inflection that the narrators bring to the story really brings the characters alive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I definitely laughed out loud at several parts of this book.

Cute story but narration needed a real female voice

Summer Roberts narration was fine but very limited. Instead we had Tyler Donnie’s horrible imitation of a girl voice paired with his wonderful male narration which really ruined much of the mood. It would be better to have just bought the book. Story was sweet if a bit outrageous and funny in the details. Very attractive guy and gal are rejected by what they thought were the loves of their lives so he sets up a business to help scorned lovers get revenge and she helps as a girl Friday friend but from afar and through text and phone. After almost 3 years they finally meet when she needs moral support and a date for the wedding of her ex to her movie star mom. Predictably their close friendship and mutual attraction develops but not without drama and humor before the get a HEA. A fun book if you can tolerate the ghastly imitation of Penny’s voice through most of the story. Ok for a Romance package selection but I would not recommend wasting a credit.

What did you love best about Magnificent Bastard?

Oh my goodness - Penny's Manatee tattoo? Um, no, perhaps her almost agoraphobic-like behavior and her sneaky approach at getting Bash to help her out.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bash - because he's hot and moody and hot and sexy and alpha. Also really hot and super successful with such a novel business.

Which scene was your favorite?

The lake scene. You won't know what I mean until you have read the book. But definitely the lake scene. *winks*

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the truth comes out and when Bash is his "Penny" person and not his usual person.

He’s the man for the job!

The premise of this audiobook is that the hero runs a business that helps women get revenge on two@timing, double crossing boyfriends. It’s really funny and has moments that made me chuckle aloud. When his assistant, who he’s never really noticed as a woman, needs his services he gets involved. By getting into her business he starts to see that she’s actually sweet, and attractive and nice... guess who starts to fall for his client? Narration was well done.

An average story with interesting twists.

This average story has some interesting twists but has the usual ending - engagement and/or marriage. An easy listen with good narration.

This story just flows so easily and is so entertaining you do not want to stop to listen to it. Narrators as as perfect as the whole plot!!! Loved them...

The heroine is awful. Unique story no emotional pull. Needs development. Don't waste the credit.
