Great story but not sure if same writer writes the entire book

This writer is my favorite as far as story writing until she gets to sex scenes and then it becomes so overly dramatic and ridiculously “internet porn story” as a friend described it. I am no prude by any means and love most romance books- but I have started forwarding through the sex scenes because they are SO horribly written.

It’s refreshing to have a hero that holds it together. Our heroine is an adorable train wreck. The narration is amazing most of the time with occasional confusion because voices are too similar. Not a complaint because no chance I could do any of it myself. Loved this book

Some narration trends I didn’t like

Overall the narration was ok, but there were times the last syllable got dropped, usually with an “s” sound. It was like she was only saying 1/2 the word at times, kind of annoying. The story was good, a bit predictable but the town characters quirky personalities lend levity.

A swoony sexy romance of all the chaos

I loved Donovan and Eva’s chaotic whirlwind romance. This was a swoony, hilarious, fun, sweet, steamy, heart warming sort of instalove story with very little angst. Oh the feels you will feel while reading this book - one minute I was snort laughing, the next I was swooning, then gasping, then gritting my teeth, and then I was crying. Eva is a writer who recently moved to the quirky small town of Blue Moon Bend to be closer to her family. Donovan is the town sheriff who has been a secondary character in the earlier books in the series. They met close to a year ago and Donovan has not been able to get her out of his mind. Now that he decides Eva is the one, he just needs to get her in board. Unfortunately, there is a chaotic planetary alignment that is making the already weird town get weirder just as they decide to date. Thus begins the quickly picking up speed backwards train that is their journey toward their HEA. The interplay between the main characters, the interplay between them and the Pearce and Merrill families, and the ridiculous but loving town just add to the perfection of this story. This is a funny story but it’s also a deeply emotional story which includes witty dialogue, characters with depth who grow, and an engaging storyline. I’m so excited to read the next book in this series.

Pippa Jayne did a phenomenal job narrating the story and breathing life into the characters and quirky insanity into the town with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

Clementine strikes again and the towns people...

if you have not read the last 3 books you really need to listen \ read the last few books to know what I am talking about, I am in LOVE with this series. I wish that there was a town like this with town people trying to set up others get into shenanigans and the like. I just love Clementine! I laugh so hard when listening to this book.

Super sweet and funny! My only critique is with Nicos accent, he didn’t have one in their book. Kind of cringy!
