Book 2 Flop

So here I was looking forward to getting the series complete when I discovered that the second book was a shadow of book one. Literally and figuratively. The storyline seemed rushed and full of holes, you could fill it with water and get a better show. The language grated my nerves, use of Bible scriptures had me thinking the author hates God and the boring sex scenes took way more effort to skip through. I felt like those scenes would have sustained my interest by extending the plots between the mother and sons, Alexius and Leandra, Nicoli and Mira...and where does Caelian keep disappearing to?. As far as Isias he was just left to himself again. Ugh! I hate to spend more money following the series but I want to know what happens next.
The narrators are okay at best. Angry male and temperamental damaged female. Almost didn't finish the audio, read a good portion of the book in another app.

I’m a hard reader to please and this one pleased me. I enjoyed the plot and the sex scenes were HOT!

Series Rocks

WOW! This Series is very well written!! It’s full of feelings, mysteries, twists and turns. Character arcs are one the best I’ve ever read!! Believe me, you don’t want to miss this story!!!!!

Great story, HORRIBLE LANGUAGE

The story was exceptionally good with a cliffhanger at the end, but the language took away from the story. It seemed like every other word used God, or Jesus Christ, with a combination of other words that I’m not even going to repeat. It was just over the top. I understand some language and it’s absolutely fine, but this just went past normal. It didn’t add to the story at all, so I don’t understand why every third word had to be such a cursed word.

Narration was great, The plot was interesting and had a good pace. I would say it was the equal of the first book. The only problem I had was at the very very end! I guess small warning for a slight cliff hanger. Uhg! I’m so pissed about the last scene! Without giving to much away I can tell you that it was 100% based off a stupid female emotional blow up. I thought it was very out of character for the normally level headed and realistic female character. Lol it left me pissed enough I’m writing a rant review about it! I can (begrudgingly) understand why the author did this. Sets up excitement and angst and conflict for the 3rd book. If everything is all happy lovey in paradise, makes for a boring read. I get that, I do! But cmon ! She discovered one lie (I lie made out of fear of losing her cuz he’s so madly in love) and now suddenly everything is a lie and betrayal and it was all fake manipulation?! Kinda makes her declarations of undying soul mate your my other half 1 in a billion love, seem alittle weak! God! Eeerrr I’m so pissy about this! *deep breath* On that note I am REALLY looking forward to the next book! As stupid as all that was, I’m getting the feeling it’s leading to some very hot rough he’s not taking no for an answer scenes! Ooo! Can’t wait! So is it worth a credit? Yes definitely. There was more sex in book two than in book 1 and it did not disappoint! I thought both narrators did a fab job. Oh! And I was also happily surprised(during a few brief scenes)to recognize some characters from another series of hers! Always fun to get a wink from the author ✍🏻 🤩😁

Good story

Story was good but the ending cliffhanger left with me with questions about the relationship.
For example, What happened to their marriage? Their love seemed unbreakable. Did she forgive Alexius?

Good but could be better

Very repetitive but good. And then they seem to breeze over the parts that actually have action. Be ready for a cliffy as well. Ugh.
I will still want to continue reading series as they come out, but it’s just a little frustrating.

DNF

The male narrator had an angry voice through the whole book. The female narrator did a much better job. I wish the main characters had more interaction instead of their own personal dialog, which went on and on and on. There was a lot of sex and it was kinky and angry. Ya, this one was not for me. Book 1 ended on a good cliffhanger but book 2 didn’t really address it. I made it 3/4 through before I just gave up.
