Sweet and satisfying

This story is very sweet! I absolutely loved the change of heart of the main character and how ranch life stars growing in him (with a little help from romance!!!).
The plot was uncomplicated. Sure, it had its tense moments, but overall it's a low angst book perfect for relaxing!

Very enjoyable

Loved the story, characters, setting & the narration. Very much a "fish out of water" story with a sweet HEA.

OK Narrations but Not my cup of tea

I am a big fan of M/M romance. In fact, I am actually addicted. There is nothing like reading or listening to a great book about some gorgeous men falling in love with each other.

Now I am not sure if it is because I am listening to this book but I am finding it difficult to get past the first few chapters. This is just my opinion but I found the character Reed to be so annoying that I just don't even care what else is happening in the story. I am sure it gets better towards the end but unfortunately, this book did not appeal to me.

The narrator was pretty decent and I don't think I will have any issues listening to anything else he narrates. His performance of the different characters was interesting. Other than that I am not a fan of this story. That is not to say that it didn't get better or may not appeal to someone else. I just have limited tolerance for brattiness in a character.

Reluctant cowboy

Very well written exciting and down to earth a great impression of gay men narrator was excellent

A sweet, drama filled cowboy romance you won't want to miss. This is a well written and narrated book.

Loved it

I loved this book when I read it and I loved it just as much if not more on audio.

It’s cute enough to recommend

Probably not the best book and definitely easier to listen than to read it. It’s a short book so I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. I tend to prefer when the romance is dragged out a bit and everything just seems to go by so quick. Initially, Reid’s stay was supposed to be about 3 months but it almost feels as if everything went down just short of two months with them already declaring their love for each other. Aside from that, I wish the characters emotions fell flat. It definitely gets steamy if you’re into that.

Overall, I enjoyed the story but it could have been so much better.

A make you feel good book

I loved this story. It's a story about finding love where you least expect it. Reid certainly didn't expect to find love on the ranch but that's exactly what happened. Love for Walker, love for horses and land, and love for a Grandfather he never knew. I love how everyone one the ranch is like one big family. Now I want to know what's going to happen with Zeke and Jordan.
Narrator Brad King does an absolutely amazing job.

Light and Fluffy Fish Out of Water Romance

Reid Alexander is an our and proud gay California dance instructor from a wealthy family. He inherits his grandfather's South Dakota ranch and plans to sell it as he has no interest in keeping it. He travels to the ranch and meets the ranch foreman, Walker Corrigan, who, like many of the workers on the ranch, has dedicated many years to the ranch and would be devastated if it was sold and they all lost their jobs.

Walker plans to show Reid just how much the ranch means to him and the others. As the days pass, Reid and Walker become closer and soon become lovers. But at the same time, bad things start happening to the ranch, which seem to be caused by the man who wants to buy it. Is it him, or is all this just coincidence, and what will Reid's decision be?

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this romance. Light and fluffy for the most part, it also has an element of intrigue that crosses it into a mystery.

Brad King did a wonderful job on the narration, and kept my interest throughout.
