A great continuation to the series!

I've been looking forward to Angel's book and it went beyond my expectations! I loved seeing this sweet, soft bb figure out he has teeth! And Mikhail is probably one of my favorite Cora Rose MCs of all time. He's so tired and he's hurt and he hates his job so much. He's such a reluctant mafia boss and wants to love Angel but just can't let himself. 🥺 These two have such a wonderful dynamic and were perfectly brought to life by Zachary Zaba. Don't miss this one!

loved seeing Angel's feisty side

seems things aren't what Angel thought they'd be, he feels he's been shown a side of Mikhail he would fall for only to cruelly find out who his new husband really is

to me this book is all Angel, in other books we've seen him as a naive overprotected kid that's been kept separate from the family business but here we see him taking charge of an unexpected situation, showing us that you can be soft and caring while also being assertive and strong

I loved seeing Angel all sweet making other people's lives better, making a new path for him while also being SO feisty and sassy

we see Bane too and that's making me so eager to read his book, I'm hoping for complete chaos and and some 🩸 play

Zachary Zaba isn't one of my favorite narrators, but he did a really good job with Mikael's accent and all the different voices. Lived their relationship!

Great story, narration was good

The only issue I had was there was some background noise in the narration like a radio or tv that was slightly distracting from an otherwise great performance.

Taming of the shrew with a twist

I love how deviously the completely besotted new ‘little husband’ gets when his betrothed isn’t what he seems. Although he is hurting inside, he causes maximum chaos in the life of his cold, distant mafia boss husband. It’s fun to see the power dynamics play out! The ending was a refreshing surprise too! The addition of previous characters sprinkled throughout made this a real pleasure to read!

Perfection!

Oh Angelo, our little angel showed his horns in this scrumptious little treat. Loved, loved, loved it! Perhaps even more than the first book! With Angel marrying into our sexy Russians family you get a whole whammy of new characters that I can’t help but be excited about. Fingers crossed we get a George x Bane book soon because I am dying for that chaotic mess to happen. I know this book is about Angel but I love Bane and his sorta kinda psychotic tendencies and George just adds the cherry one top! Yes, please! Also this book really had me loving Casey so much more. We need his story as well, I was so getting IvanxCassie vibes there for a sec and I’m so down for that. So yeah, if you enjoyed the first you will devour this one.

*spoiler kinda ish*

—dead wife trope but it worked so well with the story and there was no lingering bits on it, well ones that didn’t work for the plot but anyhow it meshed amazingly and I loved every second! Course there were times when I had to roll my eyes when the MCs refuse to share vital info that could make everything go so much more smoothly but I get it…it’s for the plot and thankfully it wasn’t so overdone that it became unbearable, everything came together perfectly.

expect the unexpected in this book. with enough twists and turns to keep you listening, it has everything you need. spice, angst, pining, a past coming back to bite our MMCs.

Great addition to the series

I was looking forward to Angelo’s story and it didn’t disappoint. In the previous book he seemed really emotional and someone who wouldn’t defend himself, however, he definitely showed his strength in this one. The side characters were super funny and I love how supportive they were of him.
Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the connection between Mikhail and Angel like I would’ve liked. For that I had to reduce some points. I wish there would’ve been more development there between them. Overall, it was great though. Excited for the next one.

This is so good. It keeps you guessing throughout the book. I couldn’t put it down. Started it this morning and just finished it. Looking forward to whatever Cora Rose comes up with next.

I read this and listened to the audiobook at the same time. I love the narrator. The cover model matches how I see Angel so perfectly. 👌🏻
