I’m not even a professional sports fan and I enjoyed this!

Narration was satisfactory, IMO. If I were going to play amateur voice coach, I would point out that Canadians do not have a New York/New Jersey accent. Having spent some time in Canada overall but specifically Victoria and Vancouver, I can attest that the accent was off in spite of his pleasing tenor. The narrator has a good female impersonation but not feminine laugh. This is constructive criticism offered without malicious intent.

I’m generally avoid sports stories but this is my 2nd publication by this writer and I enjoyed them both. The author wove excellent characterization of the MMC’s making them lovable and me feel invested. While I found Christa brave, strong and able to articulate her feelings in an adult way in highly charged emotional family situations, I felt there are limits to what is acceptable from family. In addition, the family drama was too glossed over at the conclusion. The mother and sister should have at least had a lot of apologies and groveling to perform. Then there is Levi, oh Levi, of the unwavering support. Are there really men like him?

As far as professional sports players, I feel they are overpaid and over idolized. I don’t understand the brutality of hockey and football or the tribal behavior of fans rooting for a team or adulation of a player. I feel the same about celebrities, CEO’s and the 1% (which is largely inherited, not earned, honestly or dishonestly, wealth). While I do not believe in socialism, I do believe better equality could be achieved in this country.

Last, but not least, the author so eloquently dealt with a subject close to my heart and that is responsible sexual practices. There is no knowing the age of the readers of these romances. I have read many that have no responsible discussion about going without condoms. As a Neonatal Intensive Care health care provider for 20+ years, I have assessed many babies born with blindness, brain damage and other congenital defects simply due to TREATABLE, PREVENTABLE STD’s. Do writers have a responsibility to promote healthy sexual practices? In my opinion, we all do, as STD’s are on the rise in this country. This writer hit the mark and has my gratitude for emphasizing the importance of testing, knowledge, honesty and discussion that took place before the MMC’s decided to go bareback. Okay, I will jump down from my soapboxes now!

Levi is hot

I loved Levi so much. The narrators are great and the story was very entertaining and hot. 10/10!

Great listen!

This book was a great ending to the Vancouver Wolves Hockey Series! I really enjoyed Krista and Levi's story and thought they were a perfect match. If you're in the market for a fast-paced, drama-filled hockey romance series, I would recommend this one. I enjoyed listening to the audiobooks and the narrators were fantastic.
