Excellent!

I had to write something about this one. The epilogue has left me a teared up mess of emotion that requires more than just 5 stars! This is a wonderful story! I'm too emotional to form the words to say how much I truly enjoyed it. I also think the narrator is wonderful. I just love the sweetness of her accent with Emma. She was perfect!

I love the book so much. I'm in love with Rose Gordon's stories. Kudos to the narrator for bringing the story to life. :)

I can't get enough of Rose Gordon!!! Her books are so great and her stories have so much heart in them!

Outstanding except...

This as a great novel. Enjoyed everything except the wedding ceremony. Emma just went over the top too much I feel.

Characters and situation not accurate to time period. Also situations are not believable. Dialog is tired and trite.

Boreing

The pace of this story doesn't lend itself to entertainment as far as I could see. I didn't finish it.

Disappointing

I wonder if I would’ve been as disappointed in this book if I didn’t have such high expectations. Listening to the Scandalous Sisters followed by Groom Series book 1 i couldn’t wait to listen to book 2. It was tough getting through this book. Although I enjoy Emma and Marcus Rose Gordon could’ve done so much more. It was boring very very boring. I would’ve gave it a 1 but I do enjoy Stevie Zimmerman only bright spot of this book. You know a book is horrid when you wish death upon the two main characters. That would’ve been the only way to endear me to this awful book. Just awful. Goodness I hope the 3rd book is better can’t be much worse.

Horrible Narrator

This is the worst narrated book. I couldn't listen to it. Just stopped it. The narrator needs to find a new job. A five year old probably would do a better job.

It's truly awful

I made a mistake and got this book based on the overall star ratings rather than by reading the reviews. The writing is ridiculously bad. The heroine spends the majority of the book running around in just a nightgown or chemise, or even nearly naked. It's completely ridiculous and isn't necessary to the story at all! There are so many parts to this book that just left me scratching my head. I'm willing to suspend disbelief and don't need 100% historical accuracy, but half the things going on in this book wouldn't even be normal today. Who on earth would go fishing in their underwear? There are just too many bizarre things about this book for it to work. Trust me, and skip this one.

As far as the audio goes, the performance is actually OK. I would give Stevie Zimmerman another try on a different author.
