Box Set gives you 3 Bosch Books for 1 Credit, but it’s not all Roses!

Some details on this Book Set:

1) The Narrows, Unabridged, Harry Bosch Book #10, is the 2nd book in this set & begins at Chapter 41 and runs through Chapter 85.

2) Echo Park, Unabridged, Harry Bosch Book #12, is the 1st book in this set & begins at Chapter 1 and runs though Chapter 40.

3) The Overlook, Abridged, Harry Bosch Book #13, is the 3rd book in this set & begins at Chapter 86 and runs through Chapter 108. I was very disappointed to find that this book was Abridged!

4) All 3 books suffer from some very poor, periodic copying, where the reading is staccato, clipped & at times unintelligible. There are 5 to 10 of these is each book. Thankfully, all are relatively short, <2 minutes each.

5) All 3 books are narrated by Len Cariou, who I think does an excellent job.

Clipping and skipping

Some of the recording on the 3 books skips and jumps around. The story and narrator is great but when it starts jumping it’s hard to follow.

Great book

Loved the narrator, loved the Box Set, but have a lot of skips during the story happening- I am not used to that from Audible Books

Such a great listen.

Excellent series. Echo Park will always go down as my favorite Bosch book. A must read.

This Harry Busch boxed set is worth it!

Really good listen. I prefer Welliver's narration, but Cariou grew on me . good stuff!

Every one should read The Poet first. The cast is set for many of Michael Connelly readers.

Great Deal!

I really like Harry Bosch‘s books. I’ve been trying to go trough the whole collection one by one, and one from the bottom and one from the top, bottom, top (in terms of chronological order).

This box set delivers great stories, fast paced rhythm, and all that you like from a Connelly book.

Another good Harry Bosch Book

Good story. Excellent performance. Everything needed for an entertaining listen. If you like Harry Bosch get it.

What made the experience of listening to Harry Bosch Box Set the most enjoyable?

This three package set is a great deal. The Bosch series improves with each release.

What other book might you compare Harry Bosch Box Set to and why?

Bosch is sort of a cross between Harry Callahan and Columbo. Tenacious, and bucks the system.

What about Len Cariou’s performance did you like?

The narrator was pretty good. I find the music a little distracting, sort of like a scene closing in a TV show.

Any additional comments?

I really like Michael Connelly and his character. However, I do have one pet peeve. Sort of like a movie where the slide is locked back on an automatic pistol, but you hear click, click.. You know it just isn't right. Bosch sometimes, does things that are beyond rouge and are just stupid. It makes me question his intelligence. At least call for back up before going in after the bad guy. Otherwise, this is an excellent character and mystery.

Hated the Saxophone

The wailing Saxophone was unnecessary and did nothing for the story or the mood. This is not a medium to introduce budding artists.
