John beautifully depicts the emotional breakdown we all experience but may not necessarily be aware of. This book has so many excellent concepts and examples to truly bring the experience to life for the reader. I have applied these concepts in both my personal and professional life and truly believe every adult should read this… it is life changing.

This is an amazing eye opening book that I encourage every adult to read/listen to. It shines the light on so many things that we do without even being aware that we are doing them. It took me a while to listen to it simply because I wanted to really process the material and what was being conveyed.

A Must Read for All Human Beings

This is one of the most profound books that I have ever read. I have utilized this book for my own personal and professional growth. I have shared it with numerous patients and utilized several of the techniques to treat people who are suffering from a variety of emotional, behavioral, and/or psychological issues. It is a bit of an understatement and a potential cliche but this book has impacted thousands of lives. John has an amazing gift to take fairly complex concepts and articulate them in practical ways. This is an enjoyable read and I try to read it at least once a year. Each time I read this book, I find something new to apply to my life and my practice. Thank you John for writing this book.

The narrator really made this book work for me! I was instantly captivated. The concept if growing myself back up sounded silly at the start but now it makes perfect sense. This was one stepping stone on my journey of self-discovery but one I’m definitely glad I found.
