“Mr. Lehane delivers big time.”
—Wall Street Journal
In Gone, Baby, Gone, the master of the new noir, New York Times bestselling author Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Shutter Island), vividly captures the complex beauty and darkness of working-class Boston. A gripping, deeply evocative thriller about the devastating secrets surrounding a little girl lost, featuring the popular detective team of Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro, Gone, Baby, Gone was the basis for the critically acclaimed motion picture directed by Ben Affleck and starring Casey Affleck, Ed Harris, and Morgan Freeman.

I really liked this book and could not stop listening. Lehane writes genre fiction like fine literature (as does James Lee Burke, although their styles are completely different).Lehane's plots get complex and take some concentration in the last third, but they are always excellent. Great narrator as well.A Literary Thriller

Would you listen to Gone, Baby, Gone again? Why?
Yes - I think there are some clues in the narrative that I could have picked up on second listenDid the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes - many twists and turnsWhat does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great job of characterization of the different personalitiesAny additional comments?
I do not like the Gennaro novels. I like Lehane very much - but find the Gennaro novels silly. This is a great action/crime novel that just happens to have them in it. Also, Lehane doesn't write women all that well. The best Gennaro novel
