Murderbot Side-Quest.

This felt like a side story about Murderbot playing detective while having to reluctantly work with people that fear him and want him gone. Seeing it have to put up with their nonsense while unraveling a crime that was bigger than anyone could have thought was entertaining.

the worst entry in the murderbot diaries is still good. it feels out of place and is not chronologically coherent with the previous and next entries

Perfect Sci-Fi Nerd Entertainment

Graphic Audio performance is again totally terrific. The cast of voices and sounds brink Martha Well’s Murderbot Diaries to a new listening level. I love the series and am glad Graphic Audio can produce the stories in broadcast style.

Less memorable book in the series

This is one of the less memorable books in the series. It's set up as a who-done-it mystery with Murderbot as the detective. This almost kind of works but not really. Maybe I just get bored with mysteries stories.

Like listening to monkeys masturbate...

Ugh, the whole (Dramatized Adaptation) took me completely out of the story. All of a sudden, there would be music, for some reason. Then they cast an 11 year old to voice Dr. Mensah and jesus...all the fake British accents. It will drive you insane. I don't even remember what happened in the book because I wanted all of them dead by the end.

Fantastic series!

One of the best things about a book you can’t put down is the amazing story and journey that you go upon within your own mind. Sadly, now the story is over as I have binge the entire series. I hope that the author continues to write more. I will have to wait to see.

Decent

This was good but not as good as other books in the series and it was a bit predictable. Narration was awesome

Too much narration

Not enough dialogue or action. I had to force myself to finish the book. The structure of the book was monotonous

A subpar interlude overshadowed by the greater story

The story feels mostly plot driven, with the intention of connecting a few plot points between books 4 and 5. The main murder mystery didn’t grab me much, so I struggled to care about most of the detective work. Also, the secondary voice acting is somehow worse than fan fiction YouTube channels with less than 1k subscribers. They should’ve just kept the main narrator and the soundtrack, which both worked well for me.

Nothing new

This book is a self contained mystery procedural that does nothing to advance Murderbot’s evolution. Further, the mystery unfolds in standard fashion with Murderbot single handedly figuring out the whodunit. Worse, neither the new bots nor the new humans have any interesting personalities. Everything here was the same old “Murderbot bristles at human distrust, drops F-bombs, and wants to watch his soaps” plot. Only the F-bombs seem to be increasing without meaningful effect, the action is more sparse, and the dialogue falls flat. Kind of a let down, really.
