Original review of the book from December 2023:

Now, I don't pretend to actually know anything about the sports in the books I read but I quite liked how much of the sport was featured in this story since both MCs were participating in it. We again really see this little TU family develop further in this book and it makes my heart happy. These people clearly love each other and are there for each other, no questions asked. It's refreshing.

Riley, our FMC, was so unique in the sports romance FMC world in that, she's part of the sport too. I don't know that I've come across any other stories like that. She's brought to TU and she's fully prepared to fight her fight. And she does the damn thing.

And Parker. I didn't think I'd find someone I'd love more than Soren but Parker puts up a heck of a fight. Parker is here for his football team to win and doesn't want distractions. When Riley arrives, I love that he doesn't fight it. He realizes she needs to be part of his life and figures out how to make it all work. He's a fierce partner for Riley.

On to book 3. Chloe and Noah, here I come!

As with the first book, the narration was done by Duncan Cole and Vivienne Ferrari. I typically prefer when each installment of a series like this is voiced by different narrators simply because it helps make each character their own individual. Vivienne did a good job at making Riley different from Vi but I felt like Duncan's reading of both Soren and Parker was pretty similar. It didn't make me like the audio book any less but I know that would make a difference for some listeners who have a hard time separating narrations by the same person. As for the story, I read the physical book last year and my initial thoughts still stand. I love RJ and Parker and Parker is still my favorite of the Wild Card MMCs. There's just something about a guy who knows what's right and stands for it that makes me warm and fuzzy and Parker is that guy!

Loved!

I really adored Riley and Parker’s story. We have an unconventional FMC being 6ft and fit also a wide receiver for their college team! I loved that she wasn’t the typical short and tiny FMC, it’s nice to read about real women too! I loved that Parker was obsessed from the start with her and loved her height and physicality! Their banter and chemistry was subtle and sexy. I loved that he treated her like a teammate, but in the right moments like a woman! I loved their secret relationship and how all their friends knew. I really loved how her teammates also had her back! Also I LOVE Mac!
