Great story with a few unforeseen twists
I really enjoyed this story. I thought that the discussion and explanation of the basis for the lawless area in Wyoming was particularly well done and clear. As an attorney I was aware of the lawless and prepared by reading the law review article which brought this legal anomaly to light. One minor niggle I have is that the author, when describing the scene of hunters and developing and his character as an expert revealed the author's own ignorance of big game hunting methods. This did not detract from the story in any way. I've already recommended this book to a few friends. Well done!!

Very Good Book
This was a very good book I only read a fraction of the series since they get repetitive . I missed 10 or more since the last one I read and that made the difference. This one could have easily stood alone with a complete finish and it would have taken nothing from the people reading the numerous books in the series. I think the narrator is great for this type of book.

One of my favorites
I read this book years ago when it first came out, it was my favorite book then and listening to it now just re ignited the love I have for the Joe Picket series. Great listen!

Better than In Plain Sight
My first read/listen was to ‘In Plain Sight’. I struggled with it. Not giving up, I did go ahead and read/listen to ‘Free Fire’, which was MUCH better. The story moved along well. Good twist & turns. Very good character development. Looking forward yo my next Joe Pickett adventure.
