Beyond perfection

The publisher's review was accurate to a point, but did not come close to describing the complex story and suspense of this novel. Wow!

Amazing writer. One of my favorite

Can’t say enough about the author. Couldn’t put down. I don’t know how he does it. But all of his books leave me speechless.

Suspense

I could feel the tension between the parents. It’s the most authentic dialogue between all the characters. Everything falls into place at the end.

Character realism

A believable story. The interaction of a struggling couple and dark powerful twisted Elite.

Couldn't stop listening.

As soon as I figured out the story, I didn't want to listen to it, knowing that the subject matter would break my heart. But, I couldn't stop, and the story didn't disappoint. This book was riveting.

Not Saying Goodbye

Loving all of C.J. Box's series about Joe Pickett I did not know what to expect with this stand alone. Well, I loved it and could not stop listening to it. I have added John Bedford Lloyd to favorite narrrator status for myself.

Love the point of view monologue

Narrator is awesome and the story is of course amazing since it’s CJ BOX. Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
