Slow Burner

Before reading this, I read some of the reviews. I wasn’t too bothered with the sex scenes, but this story took forever to get to the point. I understand the writer was trying to build a background for Remi and brick, but it lasted too long. The last three hours were the best of the book and I loved it but the previous hours Were very hard to listen to

I've been a fan of Lucy's for a long time, but hadn't done much of her audio. Brick and Remi in audio is perfect. Excellent story, great narration.

Brick and Remi are so so hot together. This story kept me enthralled from beginning to end. Ramona Master did a wonderful job with the narration. I loved the Michigan “accents”!

Great romantic suspense!

Wow!!! What a phenomenal story! I was absolutely taken by this story, the protagonists - Remi and Brick are pure MAGIC together. They’ve quickly become my favorite Lucy Score couple. As with all books by this author we get a captivating story line, amazing cast of characters, romance, witty banter, swoon worthy moments, humor, suspense and some serious heat. Forever Never plays out on Mackinac Island - off season, when only a few hundred locals inhabit this beautiful corner of the world. The colorful description of the winter on Mackinac was breathtaking, I felt like I was walking the streets with the characters and I definitely want to visit there after reading this book. Remi returns to her hometown unexpectedly, which wreaks havoc on Brick’s quiet existence. She finds herself in a bit of trouble and the only place she can feel safe is close to Brick. “There was something in his spirit that demanded that all the people he cared about be safe”. As the story unravels we get to visit with the locals, meet the families, extended families and friends of our hero and heroine and learn about both of their personalities, vulnerabilities, hopes and dreams; as well as their complicated history. Lucy Score weaves a riveting tale, that keeps you on the edge, immersed and invested in the story from page one until the amazing HEA. I could not put this book down, and I highly recommend it to all romance/romantic suspense enthusiasts!!!!

Overall, a good read.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but two things stopped me:
1. The Narrator mostly did a good job - I could always tell which character was who - buy I really disliked the sing-songy part of Remy's voice when she appeared to be flirting, or trying to get her way.
2. Waaaayyy too much sex.
