Welcome home, neighbor…

I wasn't looking for a lover. I wasn't even looking for a friend. After my life imploded around me, I only wanted one thing: a fresh start for me and the baby I carried.

That was before Ward 'Hollywood' Garrison stormed down a walkway and into my life. Cooking for me. Spending time with me. Giving me his dimpled grin and making me smile for the first time in far too long.

Ward may have been charming, but he was no hero. A member of the Court of Mayhem motorcycle club, he had figurative blood on his hands—and very real blood on his shirt.

He had secrets. Then again, so did I.

Afraid to lose more than I already had, I was determined to keep my distance from my irresistible neighbor.

Or maybe it was time to take a risk and find happiness… by Finding Mayhem.

From USA Today bestselling author Layla Frost comes a full-length friends-to-lovers romance with a grumpy heroine and a sunshine hero.

How does one top Judge? By introducing Hollywood (and Dumpster), of course 😍

I truly didn’t want it to end!

Queen Maxine Mitchell & King Troy Duran could read dinner menus and I’d listen 🤣, but they REALLY bring the characters to life 🎧

FINDING MAYHEM by Layla Frost is one of my top Audible listens of 2023 🏆

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood.... sigh...... he is a freaking STUD!!!! I can't even begin to explain how much I love, and I mean LOVE his character. Layla Frost needs her own filter on TikTok or Reels, where you have to rate all her Male characters. You wouldn't be able to chose, witnessing faces would be hilarious. I have finally found something that is impossible. Ranking Layla Frost's characters. Dead. Can't do it. Lol

Hollywood is pretty much captivated from the minute he sets eyes on Mac. There is an imaginary string, and he is tethered to her. He is patient and oh so sweet. He is protective as all get out! He puts her first 100% of the time.
Mac is more reserved, but her interest is peaked, I mean, she does have eyes. She isn't dead. She definitely appreciates a muscled, tatted, and sexy sin biker. But she is also cautious. Her past is a mystery, and she has demons....but on top of it all, she is so damn strong.
Finding Mayhem has your attention from the first paragraph. I had to force myself to read it slow. But that was proving difficult. I wanted to know about Mac, I wanted to know how Hollywood was gonna win her over, between all the sweet, and we sure got a lot of spice. How could you put the book down. Literally from start to finish, it was amazing.
Finding Mayhem is no exception to Layla's creative smart ass, alpha-hole badassness, she calls her main male characters, mix that with her female characters that can drop these men to their knees, with their sass, spunk, wit and strong personalities. Chefs kiss. She brings the comradory, the quick and funny banter between all the characters, in such a way that you need to know about each and every one! You are hooked and invested with the main characters, but you love the side characters, too.
She straight up, writes magic. Stop reading this post already and go pick up the book and enjoy. See for yourself what Hollywood and Mac bring to the table. You will fall in love with them.

Narrators are top-notch, and they did such an amazing job bringing these characters to life!

Hollywood.... is.... sigh.....

this is my first book of Layla Frost it's a very great story a motorcycle club definitely morally Gray they kind of have their justice system. I really don't read a lot of motorcycle clubs so Or any Um so I don't know what When it comes about how they usually function Some scattered stats but the story was really good I picked it up because it was a single mom story and I love those I love that Trope but this was good it had some danger Of course the single mom Did the right thing I don't want to get into too much it gives it away I would recommend this story I liked it a lot in fact I've already recommended it The narrators Did a good job Did good with the male narration as a biker And Maxine Is Perfection

morally Gray

I already loved Finding Mayhem (really everything that Layla Frost has written), but the narrators made it so much better.

Great story! Great narration!

Mac and Hollywood are perfection! I loved this story and continue to love the world of Mayhem. Narration was another fantastic win.

Love this series

He falls first/technically they both fall but he’s more honest about it, he’s protective and never acted like a dirt bag and a few others I can’t mention without spoilers. He’s now right up with Knox and Lars as a favorite. The heroine was also pretty funny and not annoying like a lot of authors often make them (something I love about Layla Frost, the girls are usually believable and relatable- at least in the Hyde world imo)
They’re just a super sweet couple with a heartfelt story with a small but good amount of drama that isn’t like- annoying/angsty drama) I’d say it’s definitely worth the credit but do check trigger warnings because Mac does go through some shit and the Mayhem men literally exist to help women and children who are going through toxic shit.
Minus a few minuscule details; they’re both believable, funny, sweet characters and that’s probably my fav part of these series’.
Troy Duran could read to me the history of the bicycle or how ice works and I’d listen as if her were reading the secrets of the universe. 🙈

This has every trope I love 🥰

This is only the 2nd book in the series, but it was fan-freakin-tastic! I'll be replaying it on Audible again. I love how these heroine's accept what their men do. I also like how the author doesn't drop obvious hints of what the climax of the story will be. It definitely keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Maxine Mitchell and Troy Duran do the narration so well, too.

Best in this series so far

I ABSOLUTELY Loved this Story. 🥰❤

I Love how the Men of Mayhem Are truly Good Guys.!

The Story of
Ward ( Hollywood ) ♡ Mac (Jayne)
is the kind of story that could Actually happen in real life . It's not far fetched.

The Side Characters are Great too.

I am a details kinda girl , the only thing I could say may be a bit of a picking point and not a big one just my perspective,

I would have wished for is a bit more Appearance Details in the characters looks wise. Just to have a better feel of being in the story.

Other than That,, The Author Nailed this story. She brought everything together.

I also really enjoyed the 1st story
Until Mayhem. Judge ♡ Ophelia ( O ) story.

I would Only Hope the Author continues on with other characters in this series.

I would love to see Judges grumpy brother Jury find Happiness too. 😁

What I liked about this book was it was more geared toward the story and focused a bit less on sex scenes. Even though they were great. It's nice to just follow a Great Story.

This will Definitely be added to my go 2 book relistens on repete.

The Narrators were perfect for the Story.

I just Love Tor Thoms Voice.
Sooo Damn Sexy ! 🥰😊

And Maxine Mitchell Does one of the best jobs as a male character part.

I have become a true fan of hers.

Highly Recommend this Story.

💔 Heroine: Mac Davis

Mac is a twenty-six-year-old school psychologist whose life has been upended by pain and unexpected motherhood. She finds herself pregnant and alone, searching for a fresh start. When a friend offers her the use of a vacant house in Massachusetts, Mac takes the leap—though the move is anything but easy. Moving all her belongings while pregnant and emotionally raw sets the tone for her vulnerability. So, when the tall, rugged man next door offers to help, she hesitates at the sight of his biker vest but accepts the kindness. Her wariness is palpable, but so is her quiet resilience.

---

🛡️ Hero: Ward “Hollywood” Garrison

Ward is a paradox wrapped in leather and loyalty. A member of the Court of Mayhem motorcycle club, he lives on a quiet suburban street that belies the danger and moral ambiguity of his world. From the moment Mac arrives, Ward is drawn to her—not in spite of her pregnancy, but perhaps because of the strength she radiates. He’s relieved the nosy old neighbor is gone and intrigued by the woman who’s taken her place. Ward’s dual life—running Mako Security by day and helping people escape their demons by night—adds depth to his character. He’s not squeaky clean, but he operates by a code, and that code includes showing up for Mac in ways that matter.

---

🔥 Plot Pulse

Their relationship unfolds slowly, organically. Ward doesn’t push—he offers. Help with boxes. Meals when Mac’s cooking proves… ambitious. Evenings spent watching House become their quiet ritual, a balm for two people nursing invisible wounds. The emotional rhythm of the story builds through these small, intimate moments. It’s not just about attraction—it’s about companionship, trust, and the kind of comfort that sneaks up on you when you least expect it.

---

✅ What Hit Home

• The duality of the MC members was compelling—they’re outlaws with a conscience, protectors cloaked in menace.
• Ward’s split existence between his dangerous MC life and his gentle, domestic side was beautifully rendered. Watching him cook for Mac and care for her felt like peeling back layers of armor to reveal something tender underneath.
• The intimate scenes were sizzling hot!

---

⚠️ What Felt Worn

• The prologue sets up Mac’s pregnancy and her fiancé’s joy but then jumps abruptly to her moving in alone. The emotional gap—what happened to him—lingers too long without resolution, which dulled the initial impact.
• Personal quirk: the name “Ward” conjures up Ward Cleaver vibes, which felt tonally off for a biker hero. It’s a minor distraction, but one that stuck.

---

🎧 Narration Breakdown

Troy Duran and Maxine Mitchell deliver a stellar dual performance. Troy’s voice is deep, commanding, and undeniably sexy—he nails Ward’s blend of grit and warmth. Maxine brings emotional clarity to Mac’s journey, capturing her anxiety, hope, and quiet strength with finesse. Their vocal chemistry enhances the story’s emotional beats, making the audiobook feel immersive and intimate.

---

📝 Final Thoughts

This story balances grit and grace, danger and domesticity. Mac and Ward’s slow-burn connection is built on mutual care and emotional healing, not just physical attraction. The narration elevates the experience, making it a standout listen for fans of emotionally grounded romance with a touch of outlaw edge.
