I need a nap - in the best way

I don’t even know where to begin with this. Part three of a series that just really really puts you through all the angst and then some. Do not read this if you haven’t read books one and two - it does not stand alone. As with the others heed the TW because it will absolutely rip your heart out and not be put back together until basically the epilogue. There is sexual assault, physical assault, ptsd, on page death of a parent, hx of death of a parent by suicide, relationship cheating, we were on a break cheating, child abandonment, child abuse, a skosh of alcoholism - just really if you think it and its badness it’s probably referenced somewhere in these books. That being said Silas and Ben do finally get their HEA and it’s as messy and real and wonderful as you could hope. I will say there are again some audio changes / rewrites from the text so you cannot switch back and forth between reading and listening or you’ll get very confused. There was a semi substantial change in the relationship in between Silas and his mother between the text and the audio version. While harsher, I do prefer the original text but you can decide for yourself. Otherwise most major concepts remain consistent. I also prefer the pacing of the epilogue in the original text with a slight backstory on Silas and Ben’s reunion as adults whereas the audio really had two separate epilogues and two points in time. Again, neither really change the content just the focus and pacing. But boy oh boy you’re going to need a nap when this one is through because it will leave you rung out. I loved them all.

Great finish

this whole series is an emotional roller coaster but done so well. I was so invested in these characters and I enjoyed being on the ride with them. It's well developed and very well written with good narration,

My poor heart

Book:
This has been an emotional ride from the first book to the finish. Although I had the feels all through this series and this one made me cry. My heart went out to these characters. The ride was a wild one, but I think it finished on the right note. Nikole's writing is so real, so emotional, so heartfelt. I am a huge fan! I will miss these guys but was very happy to be on their ride.

Audio:
Nick Newport's steady cadence was perfect for this emotional story. He brought these guys to life. So much so that I almost had to stop at some of the more heart wrenching aspects. Yet, I kept going and felt the warmth the ending brought.

All The Angst and Feels!

I am going to actually say Wow to this final installment. If you thought this was a bit of an angsty young adult story before, you are in for all the emotions here! Silas and Ben go through loss, pain and a lot of uncertainty throughout this finale. I actually enjoyed this series a lot more on audible as I felt like Nick had just the right voice for these young guys. He brought out the YA feel and all the raw feelings of growing up and surviving hardships. Ben and Silas went through the wringer to get their young happy ending though. I honestly had some frustrated sad tears throughout but ended with happy tears.

Satisfying Conclusion to a Captivating Trilogy

I enjoyed this book and for me this was a perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Silas and Ben were so good together, I loved them from their meet cute and throughout all three books,. The character development was captivating, inspired by their feelings for one another, as well as obstacles they faced and overcame. Narrator did a good job telling this story and his voice for Ben was so very good. Overall this was enjoyable listening experience from the first chapter till the very end.

Every Mended Heart by Nikole Night concludes the Far From Ruined trilogy. This book nicely ends Silas and Ben’s love story. Ben and Silas’ love journey which was filled with angst and trauma made this book no surprise. The last book, Every Mended Heart, was the same with a bittersweet tone and journey for the characters.

I was a bit shocked by the ending and the direction Every Mended Heart took, but I enjoyed that the last chapter which really focused on the complicated characters and their eventual happily ever after.

I really enjoyed Every Mended Heart. The complex characters made it a joy to listen to. The narrator Nick Newport did a nice job bringing this story to life.

Third times a charm

The third book continues in the same vein as the rest of the series. You need to listen to this series and go on the journey with these guys.

4.5 stars with angst and tears

I love the emotional attachment to the characters that thr narrator brought to the table for me.

Omg Nikole broke me. Absolutely scream/cry hysterical out loud broke me. I felt every single heart ache these boys went through and I felt like I was living with them.

They love hard but they are also toxic at times. If any couple deserves a happily ever after it’s them and it is so hard fought it’s not even funny.

This is a trilogy I won’t ever forget

Holy Cow!

This book is so loving, sad and angsty. I spent almost as much time crying as laughing. Si and Ben are so good together, but since I'm an adult, I worried throughout the book that things wouldn't work out. But, this book was worth every moment spent listening, crying, smirking, and shaking my head!

So good!

This is such a beautiful end for this series. I have to admit that Ben and Silas' story left me in tears at points, but eventually these two get to where they are meant to be. The story is heartbreaking but beautifully written. You absolutely must read the two previous books in this series as this is a continuation of those books.
