Great characters

These books are tense, well structured, and at times laugh out loud funny. I adore the characters. Narration is totally on point. Chefs kiss! Listen to this series and JD Kirks other novels. It’s a wild ride and does not disappoint during any of the books.

Another brilliant gift of Kirk’s writing. Definitely the best of the four book series. You want some action with a little humor mixed, this will do it

Terrific

Fun as only a Hoon story can be. As expected, delivers a cracking good story and narration from start to finish.

Suspenseful

My favorite characters, Hoon Berta, and his false eyed friend.I could not stop listening until I got to the end .With each book I want more,suspense intrigue action comical . Love the narrator wish he was on other audibles .I look forward to the series .

I love the new series about Bob Hoon! A perfect antihero! Angus King’s narration is spot on!

I really like knowing there's another installment

I adore these quirky characters! Grumpy Hoon and his grumpy sister are not exactly lovable but crazy good to have around in a crisis. He's indestructable!!! Hence, it's reassuring to know there's another book so you know he makes it to the end!

Gripping, but Not for the Faint of Heart

I just finished this and overall, I really enjoyed it! Kirk's storytelling kept me hooked, and the pacing was excellent. The characters were well-developed, and the plot had some great twists. My only significant reservation was the level of gore, which I found a bit much at times. However, it didn't detract too much from an otherwise gripping listen. I'd recommend it to fans of the genre who don't mind a bit of a grim listen...

My New Favorite Christmas Book

Bobby Hoon, that curse word obsessed, ballix busting, walking talking insult and new sentence generating, one man plot destroying hero of a Scotsman is back at it again. A fantastic addition to his series and the DCI Jack Logan Series. JD Kirk has quickly become one of my favorite authors no matter which pen name he uses. Thanks for sharing your imagination with the world it’s much appreciated. This book is the bom!
