This book had all the elements of a great story…

I was excited to start this book until I did. It had everything: the Great State of Texas, Legendary Creatures, even a Taco Truck! But the author failed to write a coherent story. I gave up after chapter 23 (just over half) when it couldn’t keep to a single storyline. Honestly it felt like 2 or 3 disjointed stories going on sometimes in the same chapter. The only good thing is I bought it on sale and didn't waste a credit.
