I never asked to be Blade Mage. My fellow wizards weren’t exactly thrilled about my selection, either. Unfortunately, those weird old druids have a strict no returns policy.

So I left, and for the past few years, I’ve managed to hide from my responsibilities and former life. But I always knew one day the Cabal would come looking for its precious sword. And so they have, but only because a heinous crime has occurred....

A wizard of the Cabal has used forbidden magic to slay a fellow wizard. It’s an open and shut case. The killer admitted it. He also stands accused of kidnapping a child, who is still missing, but they say that isn’t my problem. No, as Blade Mage, the Cabal only expects one thing of me: they expect me to play the role of Executioner.

Problem is…the accused is my best friend.

And before I chop his head off, or decide to just walk away, I want to know the truth. But the path to the truth is filled with shifty wizards, fearsome witches, insidious demons, and supernatural conspirators at every turn.

It ain’t easy being the Blade Mage.

Holy F-wording S-word!

Adventure. Excitement. A blade mage seeks not these things... yet somehow it still happens. I can't wait for the next book to be available on audio.

Very good start.

I enjoyed this book a lot. So, I saw an ad on Facebook and decided to take a chance, and I’m very glad I did. I think there is a really cool world being built here. The narrator did an excellent job. The backstory and the ideas are very intriguing, and I’m excited to read more. However, there were some parts that were rather predictable and very cliché, but overall, I very much enjoyed listening to this book and recommend it to people looking for enjoyable urban fantasy.

My favorite book is now in my ears!

Parker Grimm is British! H€|| Yeah! Coolest wizard books with the coolest monsters is now in my ears! The narrator is so good I’m going to download anything he reads! Download this book yesterday! It’s perfect for drives to work!

A good start in an interesting world

I took a chance on this and I'm glad I did. New world, new characters and a new author to follow! looking forward to the next book!

Southern Dresden Files

Blade Mage is an excellent urban fantasy with a healthy dose of humor thrown in. If you like the Dresden Files, I think you’ll enjoy this book. The author does a good job balancing world building, plot progression, character development, and incorporating humor. Definitely a book worth reading!
