Funny and ends at a sad point

Having read the series once and listened to it two more times over the years I have noticed some things that I didn’t before.
Drake always acts like a “wyvern” and rarely speaks about his feelings. He shows them through somewhat hidden actions. He only speaks about his own emotions when forced in some way. I’m also just realized that he has always been a dream walker which is almost unheard of in a dragon. I like his character a lot more having seen the scenes from his POV. I already loved him (for the most part).

Great seeing Drake’s Side!

Loved getting to see inside Drake’s view and his feelings about everything. And told in a fun way! Definitely a must for any Katie fan!

Not her best work

I think that consent is extremely important, in life and in literature. Whether it is for a kiss or more, this antiquated caveman trope is not to my taste. Also, I get that it was a short story, but it read more like the first half of a book that wasn’t resolved. The ending was abrupt and unsatisfactory. Full disclosure, I like an HEA ending. I have read the authors work before, although not for a few years, I will not be getting any more if this is an example of her current work.
