The Narrator was excellent

This is a story that is a bit akin to a sitcom. I have read the complaints about the narrator and I completely disagree. She added to the comedic situations the charactors found themselves in. The way she exclaims "Aisling, you are my mate" in Drake's deep Hungarian accent, is supposed to make you chuckle. If you have no sense of humor please do not listen to it. I have looked for other books this narrator has done, and her voice is very different. It was then when I realized how great she was....."she's a professional, damn it."

I can't with narrator

I've read this series before and love Katie MacAlister, but the narration is terrible. She tries to do accents and they end up being terrible and distracting. Plus her breathing and mouth noises, I can do without.

I recommend reading the books yourself. They are great!

I could hear the narrator swallowing.

I really, really want to finish this book, but the narrator's swallowing and weird moist sounding speech was too much. She was great at all the voices. I loved that part. But she makes Aisling sound like she's in her 40's or 50's. It's really distracting and I keep losing focus. Super bummed.
The story is good, I think. I barely got through the mating scene before having to stop listening. It was like having my old neighbor recount her marriage night. Hard pass on doing that again.

Wow! I now have a new favorite author!

I can't believe that I had this story for two months before I listened to it! Oh my! It is not only funny, but so sensual it will leave your mouth open envisioning your own hot dragon-man fantasy!

I enjoyed Barbara Rosenblat's narration of the book. She has an extensive vocal range that lets her differentiate each character. I cannot wait to start on Book 2.

ugh.. disappointed

I love this series and the woman reading it sounds like she is eating through the entire thing. It was distracting and disappointing. I was very sad to see this done to such a wonderful novel.
