The Empire

great story

awesome story little different then most scifi right now I liked the almost epic scale of battles that took place in this one I recommend this to any avid scifi fan

A new story and a good start

The plot is interesting. It may take while to warm up to Collin, the main character. The author is making a great effort at building characters - he even builds characters who get killed on the the next page lol. Bringing in the concept of the family 'House' and the Thousand Family rule gives the story an interesting slant as well. Not sure about the narrator however. In some of the battles the author puts us in the heads of the Empire's fleet leader and the Rebel fleet leader and it gets a bit confusing - I had to replay that section a couple times to tell which side's Super Dreadnaught was blown up.
The narrator doesn't excel at differentiating characters very well which contributes to the confusion.
Even so, the story is enjoyable and off to a good start.

Decent book

Love the story but I found descriptive detail lacking a little or would of got 5 stars.

Hit it out of the Park again

As with a good number of his books Nuttall has woven another great tail that left me listening well into the night and eyeing my budget to see I could spare some credits for the next ones

Empire’s corp but not

Liked the political intrigue and naval combat descriptions. The Empire should be called something different.

Next please

Great book, great characters, great narration. I want to know what happens next. Don't keep me waiting.

How Many Series Can One Man Juggle??? Nuttal seems to ALWAYS have a LOT of Books in the air at the same time, and somehow he never seems to drop ANY OF THEM!!! He's not just writing for the Money, He's got stories to tell!!

On the right track

Hope is still with us. Let the good guys win.
This one is close but could be a little more positive. After all, if I wanted negative or all is lost stories, i'd be listening to current events.

Great

Great story, Great author. It is absolutely worth the purchase and read. It has adventure, humor, drama, all that you want in a book. You wont be disappointed.

It has a great story. It makes you want to read more. The narrator, Johnny Heller, does a great job.
