It begs the question, "why not hire a more experienced editor, at this point"?
Great pacing and creativity, as is usual for the series. It was a relief that there was some downtime, as well as a sense of loss.
Unfortunately the editor was absent or asleep. Flagrant abuse of, "it begs the question", along with similar jargon, miss understood by novice writers. If this series was given a refresh by a more ruthless, and learned editor it would make strides.

Fantastic in every way!
Well read by narrator, well written. This series is great because it takes work. The hero doesn’t get everything just handed to him, he struggles and fights for everything. Beware though through the series he gets into the back story of many different factions. If that’s not your thing move on. But it is done in such a way you either get invested in the persons victories or hope for their defeats. Either way I loved every book
