The killer must be in the castle...and when the Baron is arrested, Baroness Ashley begs Eleanor to investigate. Determined not to let her friend down, Eleanor sets about questioning the remaining partygoers.

All too swiftly, someone else is found dead, having apparently fallen from a high balcony. As if one murder wasn’t enough to put a twist in the tinsel! Eleanor knows she’s skating on thin ice now. And when she discovers a hidden document that points the finger of suspicion at the unlikeliest of suspects, she realizes there’s more to the story. Can Eleanor catch the killer before it’s time for Christmas dinner?

Terrific Storyline

Always enjoy the adventures (misadventures?) of Verity Bright's characters. Is romance far behind? I think it is coming closer?!

I’m a huge fan of this cozy mystery series! I hope all the titles will become audible versions! The main characters are very likable, the level of suspense holds my attention while still being a relaxing listening experience, and the humor and sweetness among the characters keeps me looking forward the next adventure into another cozy mystery in this series.

Excellent and Exciting Story--Best Yet

The breathtaking conclusion is worth the protracted and multiply braided lead-up. While we might have suspected earlier, the resolution is still heartbreaking!

I enjoyed this installment, featuring a wonderfully appealing heroine, her faithful and wise loyal employee, her dog, her staff, and the dashing policeman. I love how Lady Eleanor treats people. The dialogue is excellent, and the authors did a fine job evoking this area of Scotland in the depths of winter. I enjoyed the ending most of all.

Loveable chacters, richly threaded (of the series). You make the rating process too aggravating. Elly and her staff, as well as her "beau" are a good mix.
