Richard Ainsworth's French B&B has been taken over by a production company shooting a historical film at the Château de Valençay. But everything grinds to a halt with the sudden passing of an actor under suspicious circumstances.

To get to the bottom of things, Valérie d'Orçay and Richard offer catering services to the hastily resumed production. There, they discover that the vanity, duplicity, and murder of an 18th-century French court is nothing compared to that of a 21st-century film set, with more heads yet to roll.

I’ve listened to these first three books enough times to know which words are coming next. When do we get a new one to enjoy?

Loving this series !!

I listened to the series in sequence and have greatly enjoyed them. There were many LOL due to behaviors and speeches made by the various characters, and never a dull moment with them.

So far, I like this book 3 the most. The plot was interesting and moved at a great pace. Richard was such a lovable guy, though fumbling at times, and weak against the women in his life . I do wish he would one day stand up to their bossiness, it would be so fun to watch. Valarie, though bossy, was a wonderful inspiring clever strong woman. These two made a great team.

The returning side characters like Claire, Martin, Jenny etc added much humor to the story. It was great seeing them help out the team in this story.

The author narrated the book himself, and he did a wonderful job. Every character was well portrayed, and he injected much life into them

A great fun listen with lovely characters
