I'll bring Hadley home. Whatever it takes. Whatever it costs. Whoever has to die.
There's a gang war unfolding on the streets of Seattle. A young boy has been killed in a drive-by shooting, and the ensuing chaos threatens to engulf the city. Normally, chief of detectives Mort Grant would be dealing with the fallout - but right now, his mind is elsewhere....
In one gut-wrenching phone call, Mort's worst fears are realized. His granddaughter Hadley has been kidnapped, and the culprit is his own flesh and blood: Allie, his daughter and Hadley's aunt. Now, desperate for any sign of the missing six-year-old girl, Mort turns once again to the relentless vigilante called The Fixer for help.
After rising to the top of one of the largest criminal enterprises in the world, Allie Grant has turned her focus back on her family. But since they've rebuffed all her attempts at contact, she's punishing them the only way she knows how. With an endless stream of cash and connections that span the globe, Allie makes a formidable target. But The Fixer boasts the deadliest weapon of all: her razor-sharp mind.

The story line and plot was great. All these stories have been fantastic. I liked the twists and turns and Lydia of course is fantastic.
I don't know if this is the last book or not but Lydia did say "I am going back to work" so we will see. I hope not.
I don't want to give any spoilers away here so read the book description for that and know my opinion of this book along wit the rest of the series is amazing and I live a female assassin.
As for the narration, OMG Christina Delaine does an amazing superb job on ALL the voices, especially Lydia. Love her narration in this series! Will definitely listen to more books she has narrated.

What did you love best about Dead End Fix?
continuation of fascinating fixer theme with main flawed actors while incorporating a new tragic story about gang activity and drama in the Seattle area.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
the main plot theme is always well written with deep understanding of the author's background as a psychologist, but also is very creativity and written in such a way that also creates thought provoking questions while patiently developing a separate gripping story line within the book. The narrator Ms. Delaine's reading talents also add greatly to these points. i love to read the books, but Ms. Delaine brings each tale to its maximun. congrats hope Ms Woods you can creatively continue with the Fixer series. if not, the characters and interesting story lines will be sadly missed. What does Christina Delaine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
her ability to make the characters live in the listener's mindDid you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
i have been always intrigued by Ms Woods ability to explain the psychologicalaspects of the Fixer and her actions while giving great weight and development to Mort and his colleagues. As a criminal trial lawyer i have loved her character development yet giving rise to the more subtle, but believable aspect of the major criminals in each book.
Any additional comments?
well done again. hope the new sister book is as good.A new Fix
