why the cliffhanger?

why did you end it on a cliffhanger? it was getting really good! now I'm excited about the next book in the changing earth series!

still a great story even in the 5th book. can't wait till the next one.

Some multi-book series lose momentum, slow down and get boring. This one keeps on the move and the characters lives change with time.
