It’s a tale of two friends from long ago finding each other in the most unlikely place. They come together to find their way out of danger falling in love along the way. Fantastic narration and a compelling story. Worth the listen!

A Fantastic Story

This is my first novel and performance by this author and narrator, and its a huge hats off to both. The story is gripping and I was totally invested by the middle of chapter 1. The two MC'S are thoroughly fleshed out, and three dimensional, with strong backgrounds and supporting characters. With Jenny and Seven, you understand why they do what they do.
Some reviewers lowered their review stars because of lack of sex. The romance blossoms and is handled with class. I don't need, everything written out for me to know how two woman have sex with each other. I like the nuance! I've read hundreds of lesbian fiction and having a story with this much depth, is truly refreshing.
It's an intriguing story who's characters are lesbian, but there is so much more to round this out.
The narrator was spot on, giving all the pathos, inflections, and emotions.
Its a great, long book (which is another plus) and definitely worth more than a credit. Many hours wait to entertain you!

Enjoyable

This was a good book to listen to. This book has friendship, bad ass military, at one point annoying lady but had good intentions, it had love - it didn't get heated but the love/romance was there, and a good amount of action/fight scenes.

Exciting story

Bought this on a recommendation. So glad I did. It was a lot of fun. Note that there is a good amount of violence in this book, and a really twisted character. But none of it is gratuitous.

Good love story, good action. Will look for more books by Murray!

Stunning story and narration

I originally this book and absolutely adored it. Listening to the audiobook was just as fun.

This is a huge book and a long audiobook and yet I was never bored. It kept my rapt attention from beginning to end.

On the down side there were two spots where lines were repeated, a case of editing gone wrong, sadly. But if you can live with that then this is an epic story with a gorgeous romance and kick ass action.

Great story recorded in a metal container?

I really enjoyed the story - it was great. The characters were well developed. The narration was not bad at all, but the editing was almost laughable. You could tell every single time they dubbed in something. Also, many, many parts sounded like they were recorded in a shipping container! Overall, the storyline made up for the editing, but it could have been so much better.

Great storyline!

Enjoyed this book, the narrator could have used more varied tones for the other characters because it was hard to distinguish which character she was at any given time. Otherwise, I enjoyed this story and I look forward to reading or listen more books from this author. Thank you!

WOW...

Yep, that’s all I could say when this adventure ended. WOW! Ms. Murray was either a sharpshooting spook in real life or has an exceptional investigative process and instinct when developing characters and plots. This deserves 5 stars, but received 4 on performance as there were a few times I had to rewind to see which character I was listening to. The storyline is so overpowering you want to urn the page before finishing the page and not take a breath for several. Leslie McDonel became this reader and was each character. I wait in anticipation of Ms. Murray’s next book, audio or other, and hope Ms McDonel is the chosen narrator!
