Loved the storytelling-

Hated that it left me on a cliffhanger- but overall it’s an enjoyable listen. Over all was a pretty good book. Waiting for the next one.

Good first half. Ok second half.

Not sure what happened but after about half way through the writing started getting worse. Didn’t seem to get any better after that. Maybe a deadline issue?

Other than that it was a good story. Not sure if it will get better, but it’s worth at least trying the next book i think. Here’s hoping it goes back to being more like the first one.

Murder Shadow Kitty

Mime the cat is my favorite character. Mark may have been assigned a unit but it wasnt what he had hoped for. The story continues with a last minute deployment that ends with him trapped in the wilds and forced to adapt or die. Plots unfold as the mechanisms of a powerful family starts to reveal itself. There is plenty of action and world building to be found in the book. I have been a fan of the Author for a while and have greatly enjoyed his other works. thankfully this book does not disappoint Side note book ends on a majore cliff hanger and now I cant wait for the rest of the series.

could not put it down

Why is this series a hidden gem never heard of it. i found it cause i like the Authors other series nova terra an battle mage farmer all books i enjoy also so searching for other books found this an it is excellent like his other books.

So far this is a great story arc. It ends in a dark place but I’m sure it will make book three a great one.

Great character development, interesting story building

As usual with Seth Ring, excellent story building and further plot and character development. Just really love everything this man writes!

Nice futuristic sci-fi

Nice character building and storyline with a balanced battle scenes. Easy to follow and good character acting.

Immersive and captivating

Dark Dawn caught me off guard in the best possible way. I didn’t expect the story to head in the direction it did, but the journey was compelling, immersive, and ultimately very satisfying. The pacing struck a great balance—starting at a moderate speed to build context and gradually picking up momentum as the plot unfolded. I love when a story takes the time to lay groundwork early on, then uses that foundation to drive the action in meaningful and exciting ways.

One of the standout aspects for me was the character development, especially of the main character, Mark. The story is told so effectively through his perspective that it feels like you’re experiencing the journey right alongside him. Without giving any spoilers, I’ll just say that watching his powers evolve was a real highlight of the book.

As a sequel to Advent, Dark Dawn is a strong continuation that expands the world in fresh and unexpected ways. The setting may be different, but it complements the first book beautifully and deepens the overarching narrative. I’d highly recommend this to fans of science fiction, litRPG, and anyone who enjoys Seth Ring’s work. I’m already looking forward to the next installment.

I love these books!

I hate the cliffhanger ending of the 2nd book but I love this series. I will probably read the next one but it’s not out yet and I usually forget and move on quickly to other series/books. But the first 2 books were great!
