Father Nicolas Chatry pushes his wheelchair into the confessional and pulls back the small door that covers the screen between the booths when he hears someone enter.

“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned,” a voice whispers.

“Welcome,” Nicolas says. “What do you have to confess?”

“I killed her.”

Nicolas’s pulse shoots up, and he sucks in a breath. “Are you saying you willingly took the life of another person?”

“Yes. God is the reason I killed her. Will you absolve me, Father?”

As Nicolas fumbles for his phone to send an urgent text for help, he hears the chair in the other booth squeak, and a shadow passes in front of the screen. His pulse pounds in his temples and he starts to sway, dizziness washing over him.

Help isn’t going to make it in time.

Really good story line

I have the whole Shaye Archer series and I really like it. This book is the best in the series as far as I’m concerned. It has mystery and is thrilling too. A must listen if you like mysteries and thrillers.

Ok this one had some serious religious overtones.

I wasnt sure who it was even at the last minute.

There were way too many people to sort through. But I really loved that even though the young priest gave up his vows he still helped Shane's mom with abused kids. So sweet.

I cant wait for the next book to come out.

Really good series

I enjoyed the entire series kept me tuned it each book and I look forward to more feom Jana.....

DeLeon does it again, another great mystery!

So many clever twists with subtle clues that must be carefully analyzed by the reader/listener. Of course you still get surprised by the ending. This is a must have to complete the series.
Narration was very good but personally I would liked it to have been a dual narrative with male and female voices respectively.
A small quirk of mine,
Regardless Julie McKay once again performed an excellent audio work.

Waiting for more love the series

I love The Shaye Archer Series The only problem is that it ended I still think there's more to hear from her And Jackson I wish you would write more stories about them I would love to hear how there's story Continues and how the relationship Goes The books are a little scary but they're all So very good I like how it keeps you on the edge and Just when you think you have it figured out It turns I love the books Hope you right more About Shaye and Jackson There is another I read it is a husband and wife Series The author has written 57 books And continues To right more I believe That you can do the same with these 2 character Please write more for I love movies books

I have simp kb y ccx enjoyed this series. Shaye Archer's story and life is fantastic. Jana DeLeon is a great story teller. Julie McKay is a an awesome narrator. If you are looking for mystery and adventure, this your next series. ⚘⚘⚘.

I love this series

Very suspenseful, I enjoy the unpredictability of the story. There is always a little twist that surprises you.
